Now, I was never an Antonio Banderas fan, but the man is just hot. and Catherine Zeta Jones is perfect to be his counterpartner. I have always loved Anthony Hopkins. If you loved the Mask Of Zorro, you're sure to love the Legend of Zorro, i'ts funnier and much more explosive!
For the Legend of Zoro, I was surprised that The names had changed In the Mask of Zorro, Antonio Banderas played Alejandro Murrieta but the second movie they change the name to Del La Vega. Perhaps after the old Zorro played by Anthony Hopkins? Also The frier is played by a new character.
Who played who you ask? Here is the breakdown...
The Mask Of Zorro...
Antonio Banderas .... Alejandro Murrieta/Zorro
José María de Tavira .... Young Alejandro Murrieta

And yet the silence about this period of time is deafening, especially since the amnesty this past June releasing the perpetrators from all responsibility of this terrifying activity and time in Argentina. Now, with the current 'silencing' of our own covert CIA activities and tortures in the name of a fight against terrorism, this overlooked film takes on particular potency. And for whatever reasons the film doesn't succeed as a great movie, at least it is a red flag bravely waving.
This period drama is hot, hot, hot. The adventures of pint-sized secret agents Juni and Carmen Cortes (Daryl Sabara and Alexa Vega) continue. As Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over opens, Juni has left the spy agency and launched a career as a private detective--but when he learns that his sister Carmen has disappeared into a nefarious multi-user computer game, he agrees to go in after her, with the assistance of his grandfather (Ricardo Montalban). Three-dimensional special effects launch us into a topsy-turvy world of battling robots, souped-up motorcycle races, frogs on pogo sticks, surfing on hot lava, and much, much more. The story is even more incoherent than an actual computer game--but the movie storms along, driven by writer/director/editor/everything-else Robert Rodriguez's sheer visual enthusiasm. Featuring Sylvester...
