The first Batman sequel takes a wicked turn with the villainous exploits of the freakish and mean-spirited Penguin (Danny DeVito), whose criminal collaboration with evil tycoon Max Shreck (Christopher Walken) threatens to drain Gotham City of its energy supply. As if that weren't enough, Batman (Michael Keaton) has his hands full with the vengeful Catwoman (Michelle Pfeiffer), who turns out to be a lot more dangerous than a kitten with a whip. As with the first Batman feature, director Tim Burton brings his distinct visual style to the frantic action, but this time there's a darker malevolence lurking beneath all that extraordinary production design. --Jeff ShannonLearn More

Brian De Palma is one of our most stylish and subversive directors of suspense and horror, but as much nervous laughter as his best films inspire he's out of his depth when trying to direct an out-and-out comedy, as this film proved. Danny De Vito and Joe Piscopo play lifelong friends and low men on the mafia totem pole. When they foul up, their boss (Dan Hedaya) offers each his life in exchange for a favor: He must kill his best friend. The idea of two friends not knowing that they each have a contract on the other's life should be good for a few laughs and De Vito works hard at it (Piscopo, on the other hand, is a hopeless case). But De Palma can't find the laughs in this film, despite the frenetic pacing and performances. --Marshall FineMore Info About This DVD Actor(s): Danny DeVito - Joe Piscopo Director(s): Brian De Palma DVD Release Date: Released the 30 August 2005 Usually ships in 24 hours

Hailed by many critics as one of the best films of 1995, this finely tuned black comedy sparked a renewed interest in movies based on books by prolific crime novelist Elmore Leonard, whose trademark combination of tight plotting and sharp humor is perfectly captured here. After the success of Pulp Fiction, John Travolta continued his meteoric comeback as Chili Palmer, a Mob "mechanic" whose latest assignment takes him to Los Angeles, where his fascination with the movie business turns into a new career as a would-be movie producer. He pitches ideas with a sleazy producer (Gene Hackman) and a major star (Danny DeVito), and also finds time to deal with a vengeful Mobster (Dennis Farina) and assorted Hollywood types (including Renee Russo and Delroy Lindo) who all want their piece of... I'm an avid movie maniac. I have certain films that I can only watch at certain times of the year, and do, every year. Other Peoples Money, starts off my fall movie viewing, after Halloween of course. I love the new England Autumn charm of this film. The story is good, dialogue clever and the chemistry between Miller and DeVito is scary. An unlikely romanic couple if ever there was. A Classic in my book! I cannot begin to express my joy at finally having these episodes on DVD after all these years. If you never watched My Little Pony, it was a little more involved than you might have imagined with actual plots and adventures rather than just fluff. There are a few episodes that are oddly dark for a show about pretty ponies but there is nothing edgier than you would see on any show aimed at young girls. My joy at finally having these on DVD, however, is overshadowed by my frustration that they finally released Rescue from Midnight Castle (or Firefly's Adventure depending on your generation) and Escape from Catrina (the DVD incorrectly spells this Katrina) but edited them. What is the point of releasing them on DVD at all if you are only going to edit them! We now have to wait for them to... Anyone who's lived in an apartment will understand the mounting frustration of Ben Stiller and Drew Barrymore as they grapple with the upstairs neighbor of their worst nightmares in Duplex, directed by Danny DeVito. Stiller and Barrymore play a young couple who think they've found the home of their dreams when they buy an astonishingly spacious Brooklyn duplex. Unfortunately, the second floor comes with a tenant, a seemingly sweet little old lady (Eileen Essell). Her petty demands and manipulative ways drive Stiller and Barrymore to desperate attempts to oust her--and when she breezily resists their worst efforts, the hapless pair begin to consider more serious (and final) measures. Duplex might be called a comedy of anxiety; it constantly pricks at your expectations of...
