DVD Undercover Brother (Full Screen Collector's Edition)

Blaxploitation movies deserve a good spoofing, and Undercover Brother tweaks the subgenre with a few good laughs. But what might have been an Afro-centric Austin Powers (adapted by John Ridley from his Internet film series) is instead a lackluster comedy with one basic joke: "Whitey"--personified as a faceless corporate despot known as "the Man"--has the power, but black folks have soul. With enough funk to make Shaft look passé, Eddie Griffin plays "U.B." with an oversized 'fro and a firm grasp of comedic possibilities. He's recruited by the B.R.O.T.H.E.R.H.O.O.D. (an all-black justice league) to foil the Man's plan to derail a Colin Powell-like presidential candidate (Billy Dee Williams), and U.B.'s undercover exploits keep the slim plot moving. Denise... Eddie Griffin:Voodoo Child

This is the third DVD from Eddie, but it really sucks. Is wasn't funny only sometimes bits en pieces. I've never seen the end of this dvd because is was so boring.
There are know new jokes, and all the general Eddie Griffin jokes. If you've seen I got the Hook up an Dysfuntional Family. Voodoo Child will be stupid to watch. Eddie can do much and much more, than this. Eddie make me laugh again......

My Baby's Daddy

If you're looking for a date movie or a movie to watch with a significant other, this would be a good choice. I thought from the cast this movie would be hilarious, but it's not. It has a soft pretty much clean cut plot. There wasn't much to the movie, but it was still a decent movie overall. I would definitely suggest it as a rental. If your looking for the familiar antics of Eddie, Method, and Anthony, you might be disappointed. More Info About This DVD

Double Take

For reasons that are still fuzzy even by the time final credits roll for Double Take, Wall Street hotshot Daryl Chase (Orlando Jones), framed for both financial wrongdoings and murder, heads to Mexico after exchanging identities with fast-talking Freddie (Eddie Griffin), who is either the key to his freedom or the engineer of his demise. The incomprehensible and supposedly madcap twists and turns that follow make mindless buddy flicks like Rush Hour seem giants of brainy plotting in comparison. The film even features one of those unintentionally hysterical moments in which the villain stops to explain the entire charade to characters who supposedly already know what's going on--and it still doesn't make any sense. None of this would matter, of course, if everything... More Info About This DVD

DysFunKtional Family

I don't know why there's so many bad reviews about this dvd. Eddie Griffin is a great comedian and incorporated parts of his life to better tell his story. He did use the "N" word excessively but so what? Rappers do it all the time to express themselves but everyone is complaining about him using the word for some reason. I think his standup routine comes in close second to Dave Chapelle's "Killin Em Softly". More Info About This DVD
