DVD The Incredibles (Widescreen 2-Disc Collector's Edition)

After creating the last great traditionally animated film of the 20th century, The Iron Giant, filmmaker Brad Bird joined top-drawer studio Pixar to create this exciting, completely entertaining computer-animated film. Bird gives us a family of "supers," a brood of five with special powers desperately trying to fit in with the 9-to-5 suburban lifestyle. Of course, in a more innocent world, Bob and Helen Parr were superheroes, Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl. But blasted lawsuits and public disapproval forced them and other supers to go incognito, making it even tougher for their school-age kids, the shy Violet and the aptly named Dash. When a stranger named Mirage (voiced by Elizabeth Pena) secretly recruits Bob for a potential mission, the old glory days spin in his head, even if... Learn More

The Incredibles (UMD Mini For PSP)

Animation studio Pixar (creators of Finding Nemo and Toy Story) reigns supreme: The Incredibles is another stunning example of their inspired storytelling and technical prowess. In a world where superheroes have been outlawed, the former Mr. Incredible (voiced by Craig T. Nelson) and Elastigirl (Holly Hunter) struggle to raise a family (with a teenager daughter who turns invisible and a super-speedy boy) while keeping their powers under wraps--but into their lives comes a supervillain with a particular grudge against Mr. Incredible. The Incredibles mixes comic book battles with middle-age crisis to daffy, delightful effect. Not only is the movie a dazzling visual experience, but the same care Pixar and writer/director Brad Bird (The Iron Giant) pay to... More Info About This DVD

Mallrats (10th Anniversary Extended Edition)

Sophomore jinx hit hard in this second film by Kevin Smith, whose debut Clerks transcended the limits of its setting and budget to become something memorably funny. (Smith followed Mallrats with the wonderful Chasing Amy, so Mallrats definitely had the old curse.) A ramshackle comedy set in a mall, the film follows several story lines involving lovers, enemies, friends, goofballs, and Smith's own "silent" character, who also appeared in Clerks and Chasing Amy. A heavy self-consciousness weighs on everything, as if Smith forgot how to make obscenity funny instead of tedious. Still, it's nice to see some of the director's film family on screen, among them Jason Lee and Joey Lauren Adams. --Tom Keogh More Info About This DVD

Dreamcatcher (Full Screen Edition)

Regardless of its critical roasting, Dreamcatcher is a must-see for Stephen King fans. In adapting King's epic novel (itself an amalgam of familiar King plotlines), director Lawrence Kasdan and cowriter William Goldman sacrificed much of the character depth that gave the story its crucial humanity, resulting in a tame frightfest about four longtime friends (Damian Lewis, Jason Lee, Thomas Jane, Timothy Olyphant) whose past--and a shared gift of telepathy--connects them to a present-day alien invasion in the snowy forests of Maine. Like an ambitious episode of The X-Files, this slick production offers slimy "weasels" that gestate in human bowels; ominous aliens who seize control of bodies and minds; a secret military strike (led by Morgan Freeman) against the invaders; and...
