In the sleepy little town of Briarville, an ancient curse is about to be unleashed on the unsuspecting inhabitants. Ernest P., the last surviving Worrell, will unintentionally, and quite stupidly, set loose the evil troll known as Trantor from his sacred prison to visit horror and tragedy on the innocent townsfolk once again. It will then be solely up to Ernest, the lovable and brainless redneck garbage man, to destroy the evil creature once and for all before he transforms all the children of Briarville into wooden dolls on Halloween night!
The late, great Jim Varney shined whenever he played the role of loving and childlike Ernest P. Worrell, and "Ernest, Scared Stupid" is one of his finest moments! In no danger of being declared one of the greatest films ever made, it is... More Info About This DVD Actor(s): Jim Varney Director(s): John R. Jim Varney gives a somewhat "different" performance in this particular Ernest movie. He plays Ernest to a T with the madcap physical comedy mixed with some oddly intelligent (yet stupid... weird eh?) dialog. Only this time Varney gets to stretch his acting a bit by playing some different characters. Well... one different character. The rest are Ernest doing impersonations. Still this is a treat for any fan of slapstick comedy.
Varney's new character, Felix Nash, is a hardened criminal and Jim does a good job with the differences between Felix and Ernest. You still see much of Varney's signature facial expressions on this new character, however there is enough in the subtle differences that make it convincing. You also get to see Auntie Nelda of Varney's TV show make an... More Info About This DVD Actor(s): Jim Varney - Gailard Sartain Director(s): John R. I've must have watched this movie 500 times and just cant get enough of `ol Ernest P. How could a man THIS funny be gathered to jesus at such a young age is beyond my understandin. The turtle should have won an oscar, too, that's one smart reptile! They can't do HALF the stuff that little guy did here in Alabama. I tell ya, if Ernest Worrel was MY camp counselor, I'd a turned out a whole lot better than I am now.
I'm trying to collect the whole series and the only one I'm lacking so far is the first (and greatest) "Dr. Otto and the Riddle of the Gloom Beam." In this classic, Jim Varney (Ernest, in case you didn't know he is an actor just PLAYING the character Ernest) plays 5 different characters and REALLY gets to show off his skills. A true master of the art. I cry... More Info About This DVD Actor(s): Jim Varney Director(s): John R. Cherry III DVD Release Date: Released the 03 September 2002 Usually ships in 24 hours

The Disney Studio was built on innovation in animation, so it seems ironic that Atlantis is both a bold departure and highly derivative, borrowing heavily from anime, video games, and graphic novels. Instead of songs and fuzzy little animals, the artists offer an action-adventure set in 1914: nerdy linguist Milo Thatch (Michael J. Fox) believes he's found the location of the legendary Lost Continent. An eccentric zillionaire sends Milo out to test his hypothesis with an anachronistic crew that includes tough Puerto Rican mechanic Audrey (Jacqueline Obradors), demolition expert Vinnie (Don Novello), and butt-kicking blond adventurer Helga (Claudia Christian). When they find Atlantis, its culture is dying because the people can no longer read the runes that explain their mysterious... More Info About This DVD Actor(s): Michael J. An evil gang takes over an amusement park only to be foiled by three Ninja-trained brothers and a TV action star in this smartly paced (if by-the- numbers) kiddie action flick. Medusa (Loni Anderson) and Lothar (Jim Varney) head up the gang with ransom money and mayhem on their minds. But they don't count on the young Caucasian trio, taught by their inexplicably Asian grandfather, and Dave Dragon (Hulk Hogan), making a live appearance at the park. What follows is campy humor, lots of Karate-esque action and plenty of Home Alone-type boy vs. foolish bad guy high jinks. And girls aren't left out: the brothers' neighbor, a brainy techno girl, is on hand to hack into the computer to override the gang's murderous plans, while also providing 007-style gadgets for hand-to-hand...
