This terrible comedy stars Kinnear as an elevator engineer and Lauren Holly as his wife, a perfume designer. The two can't conceive a child due to his problematic sperm, and together they head down a slippery slope of getting help from a fertility clinic. Director Keith Samples handles all the embarrassing medical stuff with utter insensitivity, always going for the cheap laugh and making the clinic's doctor ('60s star France Nuyen) look like a humorless robot. The plot understandably delves into deeper territory when infertility troubles open the door to other, latent relationship problems; but, again, Samples is working with material more goofy than trenchant. The sight of Kinnear's character--while drunk and staring down an empty elevator shaft--cursing his sperm as "lazy f---ing... The movie was excellent, I've seen it before but it's a classic that I could watch once a week. The quality was good since it's a DVD and delivery was faster than I thought it would be. This chaotic and gratuitously violent movie deservedly took a nosedive when released in 1996. It belongs in the same category of air-disaster movies as Con Air and Air Force One, but those films could be considered masterpieces in comparison to this schlock. Ray Liotta gives an over-the-top performance as the so-called Lonely Hearts Killer, who seizes control of a 747 during mid-flight and proceeds to wreak havoc. He kills just about everyone, but Lauren Holly survives as the flight attendant who eventually has to land the damaged airliner while the pilot of another 747 (Ben Cross) talks her through the landing procedure. Sound familiar? It ought to--Turbulence is another grab bag of thriller clichés. --Jeff ShannonMore Info About This DVD Actor(s): Ray Liotta - Lauren Holly Director(s): Robert Butler DVD Release Date: Released the 07 August 2001 Usually ships within 24 hours

This enjoyable and touching biography of martial-arts film star Bruce Lee stars Jason Scott Lee (no relation), an actor with a lively face and natural intensity, who makes every moment of this film compelling. Directed by Rob Cohen, Dragon traces Bruce Lee's slow rise over myriad obstacles--most of them race-based--to become an international superstar in films. Lee's origins are oddly set in San Francisco instead of his real home in Seattle, but then again there is plenty of artistic license going on as Cohen explores the actor's psyche through some powerful fantasy sequences. Lauren Holly is good as Lee's wife, Linda (whose book about her late husband inspired this movie). A scene involving Bruce's rescue of son Brandon (who died in a filmmaking accident in 1993) from a murderous... The third film in writer-director-actor Edward Burns's "Long Island Trilogy" is in some ways the slightest of the three, and that's a blessing and a curse. By keeping things spare, Burns is able to focus on the simple, honest humanity of his story, which centers on the emotional dilemma of Claudia (Lauren Holly), a small-town waitress whose engagement to blue-collar Michael (Jon Bon Jovi) is challenged when old flame Charlie (Burns) returns after an extended absence. Their shared history includes an abortion that left Claudia feeling abandoned and resentful, and for good reason, given Charlie's reputation for self-involved aloofness.
As in his previous films, Burns demonstrates a subtle hand with actors and a keen awareness of life's authentic rhythm; this movie will strongly affect...
