Arguably the greatest of American films, Orson Welles's 1941 masterpiece, made when he was only 26, still unfurls like a dream and carries the viewer along the mysterious currents of time and memory to reach a mature (if ambiguous) conclusion: people are the sum of their contradictions, and can't be known easily. Welles plays newspaper magnate Charles Foster Kane, taken from his mother as a boy and made the ward of a rich industrialist. The contents below are from unseen-cinema; they include the contents of a 160-page softcover Series Catalog, which is sold separately, but I think you would want. We even see the footage we've been watching as it's being spliced together in Welles's editing room. The specter of Welles's often maligned later career hangs over the... I remember watching a TV recorded version of this movie when I was really little, and my older brother loved it when he was little too. He called it "Channel Jersey" because he couldn't say "Enchanted Journey". Anyways, this movie is great for kids. Its full of adventure, some cute musical numbers, and unforgetable characters. Plus, those chipmunks are just so darn cute!! Great for any kid!! More Info About This DVD Actor(s): Orson Welles DVD Release Date: Released the 05 June 2003 Special Order
