If I'm having a bad day, all I do is just put one of these DVDs in and I laugh until I feel better again. Romano just fits the character perfectly, and the dialouge really flows. Plus, the bonus features alone are almost worth the money.
These DVDs can be truly enjoyed by people of all ages. Take me, for example. I'm a fifteen year old guy who listens to punk music, and Everybody Loves Raymond is my favorite show of all time. Some teenagers are afraid to admit it. But everytime I show one of my friends an episode, they end up hooked.
I have all three DVDs and am getting this one the day it comes out, and I know I will end up watching every episode on season 4 until I have the script memorized, I always do. I suggest, if you have any sort of a sense of humor,... More Info About This DVD Actor(s): Ray Romano DVD Release Date: Released the 13 September 2005 Usually ships in 24 hours

A spirited ensemble cast keeps things cooking in Eulogy, a black comedy about a gathering of the dysfunctional Collins family following the death of its prickly patriarch (Rip Torn). Zooey Deschanel plays granddaughter Kate, struggling to fulfill the old man's last wish that she write his eulogy. Meanwhile, her dad (Hank Azaria), a has-been actor, smokes pot in the dark and referees battles between his seamy brother Skip (Ray Romano), lesbian sister Lucy (Kelly Preston) and her lover Judy (Famke Janssen), caustic sibling Alice (Debra Winger), and suicidal mother Charlotte (Piper Laurie). Confused about her loyalties, poor Kate alternately runs to and from best friend Ryan (Jesse Bradford), who wants to become her lover, while Alice--super-critical of Lucy's sexuality--fails to keep... Director: Donald Petrie Cast: Gene Hackman, Ray Romano, Marcia Gay Harden, Maura Tierney, Christine Baranski, Fred Savage, Rip Torn. Running Time: 115 minutes. Rated PG-13 for some language and gross elderly nudity (just an old man's behind).
"Welcome to Mooseport" has enough charm and some quirky moments to make those who are fans of Ray Romano's "Everybody Loves Raymond" television show giggle somewhat, but ultimately it is caught trying to be a comedy that does not have much scripted humor and relies too much on Romano to get laughs just because of his fame. Gene Hackman is well-casted as Monroe "Eagle" Cole, one of the most famed former Presidents of the United States of America, who has moved to the small Maine town of Mooseport due to a sloppy divorce that left him... Welcome to Mooseport is such a blandly likable comedy that your grandmother could watch it and wish for a little sex and violence to keep her awake. Perhaps the phenomenal popularity of TV's Everybody Loves Raymond made Ray Romano proceed too cautiously in selecting this small-town comedy as his film debut; without a live audience and an endless supply of punchy one-liners at his disposal, his domestic everyman persona seems a bit lost, ill-defined and uncertain how to respond when a former U.S. President (Gene Hackman) (1) moves to the quiet, jovial Maine burg of Mooseport, where Romano's the beloved plumber and hardware store proprietor; (2) proceeds to make moves on Ray's long-time girlfriend (Maura Tierney, from ER); and (3) runs against our ol' pal Ray in...
