Even skeptical fans of the Blade franchise will enjoy sinking their teeth into Blade: Trinity. The law of diminishing returns is in full effect here, and the franchise is wearing out its welcome, but let's face it: any movie that features Jessica Biel as an ass-kicking vampire slayer and Parker Posey--yes, Parker Posey!--as a vamping vampire villainess can't be all bad, right? Those lovely ladies bring equal measures of relief and grief to Blade, the half-human, half-vampire once again played, with tongue more firmly in stone-cold cheek, by Wesley Snipes. With series writer David S. Goyer in the director's chair, the film is calculated for mainstream appeal, trading suspenseful horror for campy humor and choppy, nonsensical action. The franchise still offers some intriguing... Learn More

The two-disc special edition of New Jack City is a great investment for fans of the classic hip-hop drama. Released in 1991, New Jack City was the first feature film Mario Van Peebles released. The film also was a breeding ground for actors who went on to have very successful careers. The music of the "New Jack" movie is almost as memorable as the movie itself. Ice T stars in the film as a "New Jack" cop who goes undercover to break down the "CMB" crime mob. Crack was running rampant. Wesley Snipes starred as Nino Brown and Allen Payne starred as his right hand man "G-Money." It's a great film and Chris Rock appears in the film as a crack head named Pookie. "New Jack City" is the first hip-hop gangsta movie classic. It wasn't just a shoot em' up bang bang movie, it really... If you are interested in this set then you already probably like and are familiar with all the movies.
the first one was a surprise hit, really the first big 'Marvel Comics' movie, and it deserved the recognition it got. a cool take on vampires, Snipes' bad-ass performance, an equally bad-ass villain (Stephen Dorff) and even a great performance by Kris Kristofferson as a gnarly helper for Blade all made this a cool action film with great sfx.
The second one moved into higher gear and featured some updated danger and technology for Blade, as well as new monsters and characters and a tough guy role for Ron 'Hellboy' Perlman, and definitely lived up to reputation of the first of the series.
"Blade: Trinity" was sadly not such a good finale for the... More Info About This DVD Actor(s): Wesley Snipes DVD Release Date: Released the 26 April 2005 Usually ships in 24 hours

Even a fine cast can't do much to breathe life into this thin gangster piece. Dennis Hopper stars as a pathetic small-timer trying to get ahead with one final score. The bad guys don't take him seriously, a cop (Wesley Snipes) is content to mow him down if necessary, and a woman (Lolita Davidovich) who cares about him just wants him to settle down. Director James B. Harris has the raw elements of a middling film noir in front of him, but he can't even link up the pieces enough to make Snipes and Hopper appear to be in the same movie. The DVD release has a full-screen presentation, Dolby sound, and closed captioning. --Tom KeoghMore Info About This DVD Actor(s): Wesley Snipes - Dennis Hopper Director(s): James B.
