Take the first Pirates of the Caribbean film, add a dash of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and a lot more rum. Shake well and you'll have something resembling Dead Man's Chest, a bombastic sequel that's enjoyable as long as you don't think too hard about it. The film opens with the interrupted wedding of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), both of whom are arrested for aiding in the escape of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) in the first film. Around this time of year, I always check out 'Disney treasures' on the Amazon search to see what my favourite studio is treating me to for Christmas. I am not disappointed this year.
Volume 2 of The Complete Pluto was always going to happen and is most welcome. No news yet on content and extras but its fair to say that they should be up to the excellent standard of the previous volumes.

We bought this DVD mainly for Kiersten(our three year old granddaughter)to watch. We were not planning on watching it till closer to Christmas but she found it and HAD to watch it.It is 66 minutes long. There are three episodes.A Chipmunk Christmas is about Alvin giving his prized harmonica to a sick little boy,but Dave has booked them to play on Christmas Eve at Carnegie Hall and now Alvin has no harmonica. If I tell anymore,it'll ruin the surprise,so just watch this one.Merry Christmas Mr.Carroll is about a VERY GREEDY Alvin who is visted by three Christmas ghosts,PAST,PRESENT and FUTURE played by Dave,Theodore and Simon.Kiersten asked why Dave(who plays Ghost of Christmas Past)looked so grouchy.Dave's Wonderful Life is not a holiday episode as it takes place in the summer on this DVD,but... The box is confusing, the red triangle at the top right states "Two Classic Episodes from the Original TV Series", this would be the 1965 series that is already out on DVD. But the picture on the box depicts the third incarnation of the series from the mid 1990's. Also notice that this DVD is LESS than an HOUR long, only 47 MINUTES. The $5 price no longer seems so cheap, convert this price per two episodes to a complete season box and you would be paying $60 for the first season set already out. Baby boomers of a certain age, and anyone fond of classic Hanna Barbera cartoons, might find the 40-year-old episodes in Jonny Quest: The Complete First Season an exciting blast from the past. Five years before Hanna Barbera made a comedy about amateur youths solving exotic mysteries in Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, the animation giant captured a more serious spirit from a different era in Jonny Quest. The series played on primetime television--a very big deal for animation at the time--in 1964, and was infused with energy from sundry pop trends as well as cold war paranoia and a prevailing belief in limitless technology (largely inspired by America's race to the moon). Part intelligence thriller, part science fiction, Jonny Quest made a child's adventure out of... More Info About This DVD Director(s): Charles A.
