Take the first Pirates of the Caribbean film, add a dash of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and a lot more rum. Shake well and you'll have something resembling Dead Man's Chest, a bombastic sequel that's enjoyable as long as you don't think too hard about it. The film opens with the interrupted wedding of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), both of whom are arrested for aiding in the escape of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) in the first film. Their freedom can only be obtained by getting Captain Jack's compass, which is linked to a key that's linked to a chest belonging to Davy Jones, an undead pirate with a tentacle face and in possession of a lot of people's souls. If you're already confused, don't worry--plot is definitely not the... Learn More

I have four boys between the ages of 11 and 2. I ordered seasons 1 & 2 and they love it. Every night we turn Daniel Boone on before bedtime and we don't have to worry about our children seeing anything other than a good wholesome show. I hope they put out the next 4 seasons! WHEN I WAS A CHILD MY DADDY USED TO WATCH DANIEL BOONE. WE HAD TO GO TO BED EARLY BECAUSE IT WAS SHOWN ON A SCHOOL NIGHT, BUT WE WOULD LISTEN TO THE THEME SONG. WHEN IT SWITCHED TO FRIDAY NIGHT WE GOT TO STAY UP AND WATCH WITH MY DAD, AND IT IS STILL A TIME I REMEMBER WATCHING SOMETHING WITH MY DAD. NOW I GET TO SEE THE EPISODES I MISSED, AND I'M VERY THANKFUL FOR THAT.WE MISSED WATCHING THIS PROGRAM WITH OUR CHILDREN BECAUSE IT WAS NOT SHOWN ON TV, AND VCRS WERE NOT CREATED YET. EVEN IF THEY WERE, IT WAS STILL NOT SHOWN ON TV. NOW, NOT ONLY CAN I WATCH THEM, BUT MY GROWN UP CHILDREN CAN TOO. LIBERATION DID A GREAT JOB IN RESTORING THESE SHOWS, AND I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE REST TO COME OUT. I HAVE SEASON TWO, AND WAITING FOR THE REST TO COME AVAILABLE. THANKS FOR BRINGING THIS SHOW BACK TO... "Crime of Passion" is a solid basic film noir. It lacks much of the dark exteriors, night shots, strange camera angles and gloomy interiors of a complete noir film but this is still the real thing. Barbara Stanwyck is a successful newspaper columnist in San Francisco. She impulsively marries an L.A. cop, Sterling Hayden. The suddenness of the marriage might signal some future "problems". The newlyweds settle down to a neat little suburban house, which would appear right at home on an "Ozzie and Harriet" set. Hayden is happy as a clam but not the Mrs! She wants more! She quickly becomes bored with the stilted little dinner parties and catty gossip of the other police wives. Who could blame her! Then Stanwyck over reaches! She has an affair with her hubby's boss. The intent was getting him... Great fun! I enjoyed so much to see Bob Wagner so young and scary. Jeff Hunter's part is so small(sorry!). After all other comments I just want to inform future buyers that the DVD has both versions of the movie (standard and widescreen)something to consider when you still don't have a Widescreen TV but is planning to buy one soon. I had to import a copy once it's not available in my country. Worth every cent. Buy it! Overall, I thought "Paris Holiday" was a very funny movie. It was the first film I'd seen with Bob Hope, and i was very pleased. I could not stop laughing during that ridiculously cheesy helicopter scene! However, one of the main reasons I got the movie was because I thought Anita Ekberg, of whom I am a big fan, was a main character. She was one of the stars to get top billing, so naturally, I thought she would be in the film quite a bit. This was not the case. Her character is important to the story line, but she is not shown much, which was a little disappointing. Overall, the movie was very good, VERY funny, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone looking for an Anita Ekberg movie.
