Take the first Pirates of the Caribbean film, add a dash of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and a lot more rum. Shake well and you'll have something resembling Dead Man's Chest, a bombastic sequel that's enjoyable as long as you don't think too hard about it. The film opens with the interrupted wedding of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), both of whom are arrested for aiding in the escape of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) in the first film. Their freedom can only be obtained by getting Captain Jack's compass, which is linked to a key that's linked to a chest belonging to Davy Jones, an undead pirate with a tentacle face and in possession of a lot of people's souls. If you're already confused, don't worry--plot is definitely not the... Learn More

No matter the quality of the writing, directing and acting in each individual episode, Hawaii Five-O always had the advantage of the single greatest opening credits sequence in television history. Like The Streets of San Francisco and Miami Vice, Hawaii Five-O made the most of its beautiful locations, especially when it came to its opening credits. From the scenes of Diamondhead and Honolulu to the views of beautiful island girls to the dramatic zoom to a closeup of Jack Lord standing atop the Ilikai Hotel, the credits sequence always got the show off to a rousing start a la the gunbarrel openings in the James Bond films. The acting may be stiff and somewhat "Dragnet-like", but the opening and the locations more than make up for it. Thankfully, Hawaii Five-O will finally be released on... While we are getting ready to say goodbye to John Boy in the 5th season (not this 4th season), every episode deserves 5 stars. I loved this show growing up (high school) and can watch reruns forever. I'm planning on purchasing all seasons, as I treasure every episode. This is my all time favorite television show and, I think, always will be. Alice returns from Wonderland only to discover she's on the wrong side of her living room mirror at the beginning of the second half of Irwin Allen's 1985 production, with teleplay by Paul Zindel and songs by Steve Allen (the three-hour film was broken into two parts for video, the first title being Alice in Wonderland). Before you can say "curiouser and curiouser" the jabberwocky is after her. It chases Alice back to a strange land where life appears to be one giant game of chess with pieces portrayed by the likes of Carol Channing and Harvey Korman. The 7-year-old longs to be home, but that doesn't stop her from enjoying some song and dance with Tweedledum and Tweedledee (Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme), watching a bout between the lion (Ernest Borgnine) and the unicorn... The Waltons: The Complete Third Season finds series creator Earl Hamner's running story about the proud, Depression-era family living and working on Walton's Mountain going through some changes. The big news is that oldest son John-Boy (Richard Thomas) is now a freshman at Boatwright University, pursuing his dream of becoming a writer but encountering a lot of tough challenges and distractions. Still living at home but driving to classes every day, John-Boy gets an unpleasant taste of hazing from arrogant upperclassmen, grief from impatient professors, insecurity in a competitive writing class, and an ever-broadening sense of how the other half lives through exotic, quirky, yet sometimes sweet and attractive young women he meets on campus.
