DVD Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest (Two-Disc Collector's Edition)

Take the first Pirates of the Caribbean film, add a dash of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and a lot more rum. Shake well and you'll have something resembling Dead Man's Chest, a bombastic sequel that's enjoyable as long as you don't think too hard about it. The film opens with the interrupted wedding of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), both of whom are arrested for aiding in the escape of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) in the first film. Their freedom can only be obtained by getting Captain Jack's compass, which is linked to a key that's linked to a chest belonging to Davy Jones, an undead pirate with a tentacle face and in possession of a lot of people's souls. If you're already confused, don't worry--plot is definitely not the... Learn More

The Dukes of Hazzard - The Complete Seventh Season

The final season isn't as strong as the other seasons, but it has a good share of episodes. The only episode that was kind of all right was the "strange visitor to Hazzard" (I guess they were trying to get style points for having an alien invade hazzard.). Other than that, I'm happy to finally have all seven seasons of the dukes that I can watch over and over without commercials.

In the final season, toy models of each of the cars/vans were used for the jumps and other stunt sequences. Most of the real "General Lee" jumps were taken from the fourth, fifth & sixth seasons, with the exception of "Dukes in Hollywood", where they used the real Charger for a jump scene, and also "Danger on the Hazzard Express", although it was a small jump. The stunts with the toy models were done... More Info About This DVD

M*A*S*H - Season Eleven (Collector's Edition)

Here's an essential addition to the TV time capsule, M*A*S*H's complete final season, including the DVD premiere of the historic feature-length final episode, "Goodbye, Farewell and Amen." Still the most watched television series episode ever, "Goodbye, Farewell and Amen" brings M*A*S*H to a richly satisfying conclusion, giving each of its characters dramatic and fitting curtain calls. But the finale shouldn't completely overshadow what was a memorable and multi-Emmy-nominated season. After a decade, Kellye Nakahara, as compassionate and "cute as hell" Nurse Kellye, gets her own showcase episode with "Hey, Look Me Over." Echoing his obsession with "Adam's Ribs" back in season 3, "The Moon Is Not Blue," finds Hawkeye (Alan Alda) determined to secure for the morale-challenged... More Info About This DVD

The Rockford Files - Season Two

"The best detective series ever," according to TV Guide, the second Rockford Files set begins at the beginning. That's because the double-length pilot ("Backlash of the Hunter") appears as an extra. In this episode, Jim Rockford (James Garner) explains to guest star Lindsay Wagner, "I only handle criminal cases that are closed." The first Rockford file also introduces his errant father, Rocky (Robert Donley, who'll soon be replaced by Noah Beery Jr.), detective buddy Dennis (Joe Santos, The Sopranos), and squirrelly pal Angel (Emmy winner Stuart Margolin) with whom he did time at San Quentin (before being granted a full pardon). Season two highlights include the two-part "Gearjammers," in which Rockford discovers his dad's secret life, "Chicken Little Is a Little... More Info About This DVD

The Dukes of Hazzard - The Complete Sixth Season

Wowzers, Lulu Hogg driving the General Lee in "Lulu's Gone Away"! That is soooo fun! Then James Best gets to show his range in "Too Many Roscos," and the various Roscos are shuffled around so much you barely know which one is which. His daughter Janeen shows up as Mary Lou in "A Baby for the Dukes." Boss and Rosco do a drag-thang in "Targets: Daisy and Lulu." And holy cow -- we get to meet Cooter's daughter! Cooter shows his true colors all through the series, but in this one he really shines. The lovely Lydia Cornell of "Too Close for Comfort" guest-stars in the two-parter "Undercover Dukes." Luke's baby brother Jud Kane and his former flame Candy Dix also show up this season. Rapidly regaining momentum after reinstating its two main stars, "The Dukes" rolled in top form in Season 6. M*A*S*H - Season Ten (Collector's Edition)

Unlike old soldiers, M*A*S*H showed little signs of fading away in its penultimate season. Alan Alda and Loretta Switt were officially saluted with Emmys for their exemplary work this season, and Henry Morgan and David Ogden Stiers received well-deserved nominations. But the overlooked Jamie Farr enjoyed some of his finest half-hours, including "Follies of the Living--Concerns of the Dead" (written and directed by Alda), an episode out of the Twilight Zone in which a fever-wracked Klinger communicates with the spirit of a soldier who has just died and roams the 4077th. Stiers further distinguishes himself in "Sons and Bowlers," in which Winchester lends compassionate support to Hawkeye, who anxiously awaits word of his father's operation, and in a moving scene, opens up... M*A*S*H - Season Nine (Collector's Edition)

In M*A*S*H's ninth season, tears flow almost as freely as the blood and laughter, affording the decorated ensemble (Alan Alda, Harry Morgan. Loretta Swit, and David Ogden Stiers were all nominated for Emmys) ample dramatic license. Margaret (Swit) cries while reflecting on a patient to whom she became emotionally attached in "Letters." B.J. (Mike Farrell) tears up when Hawkeye (Alda) and company surprise him with a wedding-anniversary home movie of his wife in "Oh, How We Danced." And Winchester (Stiers) reveals that he's "human like the rest of us" in three of his finest half-hours (each was nominated for an Emmy). In "The Life You Save," he becomes obsessed with death after discovering a sniper's bullet grazed his head. In the moving Christmas episode, "Death Takes a Holiday," he... More Info About This DVD
