Take the first Pirates of the Caribbean film, add a dash of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and a lot more rum. Shake well and you'll have something resembling Dead Man's Chest, a bombastic sequel that's enjoyable as long as you don't think too hard about it. The film opens with the interrupted wedding of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), both of whom are arrested for aiding in the escape of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) in the first film. Their freedom can only be obtained by getting Captain Jack's compass, which is linked to a key that's linked to a chest belonging to Davy Jones, an undead pirate with a tentacle face and in possession of a lot of people's souls. If you're already confused, don't worry--plot is definitely not the... Learn More

THE BEST INVESTMENT IN LAUGHTER YOU CAN POSSIBLY MAKE.
How do I mark 10 stars?
My father always believed that laughter was the best medicine.
That would explain why 2 of my brother's died from tuberculosis, but that is another story.
I cannot tell you people how many time I have rented the 2 VHS sets at a blockbuster with my best friends, quoting lines and never getting tired of them.
I have been waiting for YEARS for this to come out on DVD and have bought myself and my best friend a copy already.
Nordburg was amazing in this one. From his chain gang and "cocain testing" (shine little glow worm, glimmer, glimmer!) to his role in the charades game with the mime:
"Oh, I love charades. What are the teams?"
"Not now,... More Info About This DVD Director(s): Joe Dante - Jerry Zucker - David Zucker DVD Release Date: Released the 07 November 2006 Usually ships in 24 hours

It's only in retrospect that one can see that Joe Dante's Explorers is an awful lot like Robert Zemeckis's Contact. An alien race, determined to make contact with earthlings, feeds some unsuspecting individuals the blueprints for space travel. Instead of the big gyroscope that Jodie Foster was strapped into in Contact, the three kids in Explorers make their intergalactic trip in crystalline blue Flubber. River Phoenix looks shockingly prepubescent (which he was) as Wolfgang, the brains of the trio, while Ethan Hawke looks like a young lady-killer as Ben. Fitting into the "whatever happened to?" category is Jason Presson as Darren, an outcast who joins the two eggheads. Joe Dante's career, cruising after Gremlins was a smash, faced a serious "hitch in... At the peak of Looney Tunes: Back in Action, Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck lead Elmer Fudd on a wild pursuit through famous paintings hanging in the Louvre, their animated selves absorbing the painting styles of Salvador Dali, Georges Seurat, Toulouse Lautrec, and others. That sequence manages to recapture the anarchic spirit of Warner Bros.' classic cartoons; unfortunately, not much else in this labored movie does. Technically, the merging of live actors and cartoon characters is impressive, as Brendan Fraser and Jenna Elfman team up with Bugs and Daffy to save the world by keeping a magical diamond out of the hands of the evil Acme Corporation, headed by a nerdy, prancing Steve Martin. Just about every Warner Bros. character makes an appearance, as do Timothy Dalton, Heather... If you're looking for a stimulating, thought-provoking drama, then pop something else into your DVD player. If, however, you're looking for some old fashioned, anvil dropping, coyote flattening fun, then you will enjoy this film. The human cast alone is worth the price of admission, as Brendan Fraser and Jenna Elfman goof their way through the admittedly thin plot, while Steve Martin, Timothy Daulton, and Heather Locklear (among many other WB favorites) make notable appearances along with the animated likes of Marvin the Martian, Wil E. Coyote, Roadrunner, Michigan J. Frog, Foghorn Leghorn, Yosemite Sam, Elmer Fudd, Taz, and many others.
The best part of the movie is that you really don't care that the plot is incredibly thin. I couldn't even tell you what the plot was--I just had a fun... What movie is better than a cute little mogwhite getting wet than sprouting a ton of little fur balls? Well no movie gets better than that, and that's what the Gremlins is. A cute little creature sprouted a bunch of little punk gremlins running around everywhere causing chaos at every corner. There was a lot of comedy in this one, the gremlins were hilarious, absolutely hilarious. I must say that this is a must see dvd. Plus you get the second one with it, which is even a sweeter deal. The first one itself is worth the 20 bucks. This is a must get pack, gauranteed!
