DVD Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest (Two-Disc Collector's Edition)

Take the first Pirates of the Caribbean film, add a dash of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and a lot more rum. Shake well and you'll have something resembling Dead Man's Chest, a bombastic sequel that's enjoyable as long as you don't think too hard about it. The film opens with the interrupted wedding of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), both of whom are arrested for aiding in the escape of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) in the first film. Their freedom can only be obtained by getting Captain Jack's compass, which is linked to a key that's linked to a chest belonging to Davy Jones, an undead pirate with a tentacle face and in possession of a lot of people's souls. If you're already confused, don't worry--plot is definitely not the... Learn More

Queer as Folk - The Final Season (Collector's Edition)

Gay has rarely been so glamorous as in the American version of Queer as Folk. But the show's success rests on more than hard bodies and glossy, picture-perfect sex (though there's an abundance of that); this series gave its characters a multidimensional richness that rivals more high-profile programs like Six Feet Under or The Sopranos, while tackling an impressive breadth of social and political issues without ever (well, almost never) feeling preachy. The fifth and final season lays out its themes with authority: Alpha-gay Brian (Gale Howard) buys and revamps the sex club Babylon, declaring promiscuity and independence as a gay birthright, while Brian's oldest friend Michael (Hal Sparks, Talk Soup) embraces domesticity with his partner Ben (Robert Gant); the... Mutant X - The Complete Third Season

Many of the aspects of this show are complete crap. The dailogue sucks, the acting is terrible, the plot is unoriginal, and the "science" on which the entire thing is based is shaky at best. That said, I actually enjoyed Mutant X quite a bit. The special effects are pretty good, and it's always fun to watch people deflect bullets and fry bad guys with built in lasers. Also, Brennan and Jesse are totally hot and frequently wander around without their shirts on. The best thing by far about the third season is that stupid Adam and Emma get killed off. They were really starting to annoy me. Adam kept acting like some kind of fake Jedi knockoff (Control your anger Shalimar! The power is inside of you!) and dropping dark hints about secret plots and incredible danger that he refused to explain... More Info About This DVD

Mutant X - The Complete Second Season

The storyline is just so creative and fresh , it will blow you away. You can clearly see that the writers and producers weren't afraid to take risks and try and find a new magic formula for addictive science fiction.Well they damn well found it.If you loved he old Star Trek style and want something to watch -other thn the millions of new copies of it thats eem to dominate television today, look no more.

This show has engaging, non stereotypical characters and combines fantasy with sci-fi ; magic with technology; superpowers with human weaknesses and more. The martial arts sequesnces are stunning , especially for a rookie company with not a lot of money to spend. Its a shame that it was cancelled, which just goes to show that nowadays networks aren't willing to spend on shows... Xena Warrior Princess - Complete Series (Seasons 1-6)

hi, as an UK fan i had the less superior region 2 UK releasee dvd boxsets the orignal releases whick they mixed season 1 up because they released the boxsets in 2 parts and part 1 disc 3 of the first half of season 1 had the epiosodes for later on in the season on them so you had to buy the next half of the to get all of season 1.
and the UK region 2 release boxsets had only a few extras on each season mainly just cast bigraphies or still galleries, i had heard people saying that the Amercian anchor bay releases were much superior, so because i have a multi region dvd player and a tv that supports NTSC , i saved up my money and got some one to to send me a season each weeek , which took me about 6 weeks and then sold my UK ones on!!!
and i can certainly say this i was... More Info About This DVD
