Take the first Pirates of the Caribbean film, add a dash of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and a lot more rum. Shake well and you'll have something resembling Dead Man's Chest, a bombastic sequel that's enjoyable as long as you don't think too hard about it. The film opens with the interrupted wedding of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), both of whom are arrested for aiding in the escape of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) in the first film. Their freedom can only be obtained by getting Captain Jack's compass, which is linked to a key that's linked to a chest belonging to Davy Jones, an undead pirate with a tentacle face and in possession of a lot of people's souls. If you're already confused, don't worry--plot is definitely not the... Learn More

I grew up watching this series on tv and fell in love with it - completely!! It became an obsession. I love it so much, I feel like I know all the characters. I only had the Complete series on vcd so I decided I would get the dvd, probably better quality too. Me and my cousin used to pretend we were different people in the series, I used to be Diana. I was always so fascinated by her, and I loved the glitter in her hair, the episode where they have the big wedding and Charles gets killed. And I love their clothes too. So I'm looking forward to watching it again, I only had it on vcd before, but dvd's are of better quality and this is really a must own for me. If you haven't seen the series before - wow, you are going to get a big treat! Very 80's, lot's of action, some cheesy lines,... In a quirk of film history, this new version of the 1972 classic is directed by Kevin Hooks--who played the central role of the sharecropper's son in the original. That's a nice full circle, although it leaves unanswered a basic question: why bother remaking a movie that got it right the first time? The story is simplicity: a black family in the Depression suffers when the father is arrested for stealing a ham. The punishment? Five years, hard labor. Sounder has an under-rehearsed, rushed quality common to low-budget TV pictures, although Carl Lumbly brings a powerful presence to the role of the father. (That's Paul Winfield, the star of the original, as the teacher who befriends the son.) The shortcomings may not matter much to the young audiences Disney targets, as they'll... Inspired by creator Michael Crichton's experiences as a medical student in a hospital emergency room, ER quickly became one of the most compelling shows of the 1990s, each episode a whirlwind of intense and involving drama, gritty realism, and offbeat humor. Heading the staff at the inner-city Chicago hospital is Mark Greene (Anthony Edwards), a doctor so good at providing care to the downtrodden, helpless, or just plain quirky patients that his career blossoms even as his personal life crumbles. Greene is the soul of the cast, but the heart is Julianna Margulies's nurse Carol Hathaway. Her character was intended only for the pilot episode, but she ended up capturing viewers with her palpable empathy for patients and her troublesome romance with womanizing pediatrician Doug Ross... An ex-con daredevil trucker must reinfect himself with white-line fever in order to save his wife and kid from nasty gunrunners in this enjoyably mindless, twisted-metal-fest from the director of Passenger 57. Longtime MIA action stud Patrick Swayze (who snagged the part after Kevin Sorbo had to suddenly vacate due to health problems) is even more expressionless than usual in the lead role, but helmer Kevin Hooks compensates with a seriously rocking country soundtrack, some pleasantly eccentric supporting characters (including erstwhile crooner Randy Travis and a way-over-the-top Meatloaf as a psychotic trucker preaching damnation by the dashboard light), and--most importantly--a whole lot of rolling iron getting smashed in spectacularly kinetic fashion. A low-down, down-home,... In the road-movie-reluctant-pals genre, Fled goes down a road well-taken and still manages to get lost. Defiant ones Piper (Laurence Fishburne) and Dodge (Stephen Baldwin) escape from their chain gang when a prison break/shootout begins. Evading rednecks and faceless policemen they make it to Atlanta where "smart-ass" Dodge (who delivers one-liners that do a disservice to smart-asses everywhere) has to recover a computer disk. They are aided and abetted by Cora (Salma Hayek--this time using a funny hat, instead of her breasts, for character development), who takes the convicts in as if she were picking up college buddies from the airport. Maybe she realizes what great guys these prison-garbed buffoons are. They donate money to charity. They save dying rednecks. They rescue little...
