Take the first Pirates of the Caribbean film, add a dash of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and a lot more rum. Shake well and you'll have something resembling Dead Man's Chest, a bombastic sequel that's enjoyable as long as you don't think too hard about it. The film opens with the interrupted wedding of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), both of whom are arrested for aiding in the escape of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) in the first film. Their freedom can only be obtained by getting Captain Jack's compass, which is linked to a key that's linked to a chest belonging to Davy Jones, an undead pirate with a tentacle face and in possession of a lot of people's souls. If you're already confused, don't worry--plot is definitely not the... Learn More

Yes, to quote Madea Simmons from "Diary of a Mad Black Woman," this movie is a rag. It is one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my entire life; it's trash, pure and simple. The acting is terrible and plus, it demeans the original (and classic!) television program. I wouldn't waste your time. Go out and buy the real TV Show and get your money's worth. Marlon Wayans plays a struggling college student working several jobs to make ends meet and support his mother and family at the same time he's trying to win an entry-level job at a prestigious Wall Street firm. To make a little extra money, he agrees to be a medical test subject and takes a drug that amplifies all of his senses. The comedy supposedly emanates from his drastic reactions to outrageous stimuli and, to be sure, Wayans is a rubber-faced comic. But the writing is never on a par with his flexibility; even the presence of David Spade as Wayans's nemesis--a smug frat boy who looks down his pointy little nose at Wayans--the movie is never more than sporadically funny. --Marshall FineMore Info About This DVD Actor(s): Marlon Wayans - David Spade Director(s): Penelope Spheeris DVD Release Date: Released the 06 July 2004 Usually ships within 24 hours

Kids may enjoy the slapstick of this modern reworking of the old Our Gang comedies, but parents who grew up watching them on TV (or grandparents who saw them at theaters) will wonder why anyone would want to be involved in this pathetic remake. Directed by Penelope Spheeris, the film takes look-alike kids and casts them as Spanky, Alfalfa, Buckwheat, and the rest, minus any sense of what made the old Hal Roach comedies funny. Instead of kids being kids, these are kids doing shtick while recycling such old bits as the He-Man Woman Haters Club, the kids' go-cart race, and Spanky and Alfalfa dressing as girls. Devoid of charm or wit. --Marshall FineMore Info About This DVD Actor(s): Travis Tedford - Brittany Ashton Holmes - Bug Hall Director(s): Penelope Spheeris DVD Release Date: Released the 20 January 2004 Usually ships in 24 hours

How many films from the 1980s can you find starring the original Riddler, Frank Gorshin, plus Star Wars icon Carrie Fisher and a pre-fame Robin Wright (now Robin Wright Penn)? Oh, yeah... and Joey Travolta. A mundane parody of street life and the criminal underworld in Los Angeles, Hollywood Vice Squad finds parallel stories simultaneously probing the haunts of hookers, child pornographers, and drug dealers. Director Penelope Spheeris (Wayne's World) constructs a tongue-in-cheek homage to John Ford's The Searchers in the tale of a mom (Trish Van Devere) who goes looking for her daughter (Wright), a call girl within the stable of an evil crime lord (Gorshin). Meanwhile, several dedicated cops are trying to get the goods on Gorshin's character, and a policewoman... Chris Farley plays the disaster-prone brother of a gubernatorial candidate in Washington State. Though he is well meaning, the havoc he creates on the campaign trail is drawing press attention, so a snotty aide (David Spade) to the politician is dispatched to keep the big lug under control. Spade's character initially insults his charge as often as possible, but over time, the two bond and end up becoming a part of the final election push. Farley and Spade have some very funny moments, but overall the film feels rushed and poorly planned. Constant changes in character and script happen recklessly and randomly so that nothing ever really makes sense; the film keeps changing the rules by which it plays. --Tom KeoghMore Info About This DVD Actor(s): Chris Farley - David Spade Director(s): Penelope Spheeris DVD Release Date: Released the 16 July 2002 Usually ships in 24 hours
