DVD Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest (Two-Disc Collector's Edition)

Take the first Pirates of the Caribbean film, add a dash of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and a lot more rum. Shake well and you'll have something resembling Dead Man's Chest, a bombastic sequel that's enjoyable as long as you don't think too hard about it. The film opens with the interrupted wedding of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), both of whom are arrested for aiding in the escape of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) in the first film. Their freedom can only be obtained by getting Captain Jack's compass, which is linked to a key that's linked to a chest belonging to Davy Jones, an undead pirate with a tentacle face and in possession of a lot of people's souls. If you're already confused, don't worry--plot is definitely not the... Learn More

Quentin Tarantino

C.S.I. - Crime Scene Investigation Season 5

This is such a good show. I keep saying it (as do most other people), but it's true. I don't know how this keeps surpassing each past season, but this is one of the best yet. They find a way to keep the story lines fresh and exciting and I cannot for the life of me understand why they were so obviously snubbed at this years Emmy's. My favourite episode on this is the Mexican singers who cut off a girls head and put it in a newspaper stand, and of course, the amazing season finale with Nick's character buried alive. He did a great job in that and Quentin Tarantino showed his amazing talents yet again in a phenominal episode. How they are going to top that now is anyone's guess (although that episode was the cause for Warricks character to get married in the beginning of season 6. It... More Info About This DVD

Kill Bill - Volume 2 (UMD Mini For PSP)

"The Bride" (Uma Thurman) gets her satisfaction--and so do we--in Quentin Tarantino's "roaring rampage of revenge," Kill Bill, Vol. 2. Where Vol. 1 was a hyper-kinetic tribute to the Asian chop-socky grindhouse flicks that have been thoroughly cross-referenced in Tarantino's film-loving brain, Vol. 2--not a sequel, but Part Two of a breathtakingly cinematic epic--is Tarantino's contemporary martial-arts Western, fueled by iconic images, music, and themes lifted from any source that Tarantino holds dear, from the action-packed cheapies of William Witney (one of several filmmakers Tarantino gratefully honors in the closing credits) to the spaghetti epics of Sergio Leone. Tarantino doesn't copy so much as elevate the genres he loves, and the entirety of Kill Bill... More Info About This DVD

Kill Bill - Volume 1 (UMD Mini For PSP)

Director Quentin Tarantino really blows up minds with this movie. One of the best films made in this time. Tarantino takes us back in time to an almost samurai movie, mixed with today's reality and problems. Uma Thurman's caracter the bride is a "super hero" for women of nowadays. Really great movie, original plot and lot's and lot's of blood and overall ACTION.... More Info About This DVD

ER - The Complete First Two Seasons (2-Pack)

Inspired by creator Michael Crichton's experiences as a medical student in a hospital emergency room, ER quickly became one of the most compelling shows of the 1990s, each episode a whirlwind of intense and involving drama, gritty realism, and offbeat humor. Heading the staff at the inner-city Chicago hospital is Mark Greene (Anthony Edwards), a doctor so good at providing care to the downtrodden, helpless, or just plain quirky patients that his career blossoms even as his personal life crumbles. Greene is the soul of the cast, but the heart is Julianna Margulies's nurse Carol Hathaway. Her character was intended only for the pilot episode, but she ended up capturing viewers with her palpable empathy for patients and her troublesome romance with womanizing pediatrician Doug Ross... Kill Bill, Volume 1

Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill, Vol. 1 is trash for connoisseurs. From his opening gambit (including a "Shaw-Scope" logo and gaudy '70s-vintage "Our Feature Presentation" title card) to his cliffhanger finale (a teasing lead-in to 2004's Vol. 2), Tarantino pays loving tribute to grindhouse cinema, specifically the Hong Kong action flicks and spaghetti Westerns that fill his fervent brain--and this frequently breathtaking movie--with enough cinematic references and cleverly pilfered soundtrack cues to send cinephiles running for their reference books. Everything old is new again in Tarantino's humor-laced vision: he steals from the best while injecting his own oft-copied, never-duplicated style into what is, quite simply, a revenge flick, beginning with the near-murder of the Bride... Reservoir Dogs - (Mr. Pink) 10th Anniversary Special Limited Edition

This film is a perfect example of great, modern, cinematic storytelling. The entire film pulsates with energy, excitement and a sense of overwhelming interest. It has developed a large cult following and I am proud to say that I am a member of that cult. This film always holds a place on my favourite films list.

It is the story of a group of thieves and criminals who are brought together to rob a jewelry store that is getting a large shipment of diamonds. The plan goes haywire and the robbery turns into a mess. People are killed, alarms go off and the cops are there in record time indicating a rat in the group. The film follows the characters after the robbery has taken place and by using flashbacks shows us what has happened. The film is mostly dialogue, with characters arguing,... More Info About This DVD
