Take the first Pirates of the Caribbean film, add a dash of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and a lot more rum. Shake well and you'll have something resembling Dead Man's Chest, a bombastic sequel that's enjoyable as long as you don't think too hard about it. The film opens with the interrupted wedding of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), both of whom are arrested for aiding in the escape of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) in the first film. Their freedom can only be obtained by getting Captain Jack's compass, which is linked to a key that's linked to a chest belonging to Davy Jones, an undead pirate with a tentacle face and in possession of a lot of people's souls. If you're already confused, don't worry--plot is definitely not the... Learn More

The premise behind this revisionist Western from executive producer Jonas McCord (Earth: Final Conflict, Ask the Dust) was novel enough: veteran character actor Anthony Zerbe ran a Pony Express station, and counted among his diverse group of riders such future legends of the Old West as Wild Bill Hickok (Josh Brolin) and Buffalo Bill Cody (Stephen Baldwin; Christopher Pettiet would join them in the series' third and final season as a youthful Jesse James). Ostensibly, the Riders' job was to deliver the U.S. mail, but somehow, adventure kept intervening, and the Riders rallied valiantly to defend escaped slaves ("Black Ulysses"), give testimony in the case of a stagecoach massacre ("Speak No Evil"), and even deal with their own growing fame ("Ten-Cent Hero," which addresses... Originally broadcast as Legend of Earthsea in December 2004, the Sci-Fi Channel's four-hour miniseries of Earthsea rides the coattails of the Lord of the Rings trilogy with its quest-driven story of humble blacksmith Ged (Shawn Ashmore), a wizard-to-be who is mentored by the magical Ogion (Danny Glover) as he seeks to preserve the realm of Earthsea from the evil King Tygath (Sebastian Roché). Ged's adventures lead him to the priestess Tenar (Kristen Kreuk, from Smallville) and with secrets shared by High Priestess Thar (Isabella Rossellini), they gain the power to prevail over Tygath. As presented by Robert Halmi Sr. (producer of Merlin, Gulliver's Travels and several other fantasy miniseries), this skeletal rendering of Earthsea... Fire in the Sky is one of the most memorable films of the nineties for me, It had it all, compelling characters, the right pacing for a thriller, and quite possibly the scariest conclusion one could hope for.
some of the things that makes this film great are the attention to the storyline, the acting, and without a doubt the creature effects, which will leave you absolutelly stunned that a film like this was made in the early part of the nineties, and the special effects look absolutelly real, where nowadays we get to see horribly executed CG creatures that , because of their cheapness become forgetable. Definetelly not the case here.
Another note, the film is suposedly based on a real story, and the story does pout forward arguments that leave the viewer wonderung... More Info About This DVD Actor(s): D.B. real basic feel good movie.
Dan Heller is a 1st round 1990 QB Bust, who was drafted i think by the Eagles, who gave up 2 first rounders to get him, which turned out to be Junior Seau and Emmitt Smith.
John Viot is the head coach of the Buffalo Bills now, and has just made the playoffs with Doug Flutie at the helm. After they beat the Giants and make the playoffs, Viot wants to pick up a QB with a big arm to get the team ready for the playoffs.
because they can only sign one player a week during the playoffs, they get Heller, a not so good Insurance broker.
He signs with the Bills even though they doesn't want to, and the whole time, his wife Teri Pollo (Meet the Parents), is supportive and... More Info About This DVD Director(s): Robert Lieberman DVD Release Date: Released the 28 October 2003 Usually ships in 24 hours

Warning -- If you are looking for the unaired original Dead Zone pilot episode that was offered for a short time as a bonus to those who purchased the First Season Set, do not buy this DVD.
Although this is a great DVD, it is the same first episode that is included in the First Season Set.
I purchased the first season set after the deadline for taking advantage of the offer for the bonus DVD. I really wanted to see the original unaired pilot episode and I mistakenly thought that this was it. To my dismay found that it was the 2 hour series premier that I already had on the First Season Set. I guess this one will find its way to a friend or end up in the used bin at the video store.
