Take the first Pirates of the Caribbean film, add a dash of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and a lot more rum. Shake well and you'll have something resembling Dead Man's Chest, a bombastic sequel that's enjoyable as long as you don't think too hard about it. The film opens with the interrupted wedding of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), both of whom are arrested for aiding in the escape of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) in the first film. Their freedom can only be obtained by getting Captain Jack's compass, which is linked to a key that's linked to a chest belonging to Davy Jones, an undead pirate with a tentacle face and in possession of a lot of people's souls. If you're already confused, don't worry--plot is definitely not the... Learn More

Purportedly one of Walt Disney's most personal pet projects, Darby O'Gill shows the effort and care put into it. Even now the special effects hold up shockingly well. Darby O'Gill is an estate caretaker, but in his advanced years he's more fond of telling tall tales in the local pub about the wee folk than keeping the grounds. A new man (a very youthful Sean Connery) is sent in to take his place, and O'Gill doesn't know what will become of himself and his daughter. He snags three spectacular opportunities, however, when he catches the king of the leprechauns. This film is whimsical without being silly, supernatural without being outlandish, and all and all a treat for the whole family. --Keith SimantonMore Info About This DVD Actor(s): Albert Sharpe - Janet Munro - Sean Connery Director(s): Robert Stevenson DVD Release Date: Released the 03 August 2004 Usually ships in 24 hours

In this sequel to The Shaggy Dog, Wilby Daniels (Dean Jones) has grown up and married Suzanne Pleshette, and has a young son. When the family comes home to find the house cleaned out by "movers"--who Daniels knows are protected by the corrupt District Attorney John Slade (Keenan Wynn)--he decides to run against Slade in the next election. Meanwhile, hoodlums connected to the same crime syndicate get hold of the mystical ring that turns poor Daniels (via mid-'70s special effects) into Elwood, the dog owned by the local ice-cream vendor (Tim Conway). Lots of chase scenes, a little roller derby action, and some cherry pie throwing complicate both Daniels's bid for office and his quest to remain a human being. Kids will enjoy the last half of this 91-minute movie the most as... More Info About This DVD Actor(s): Dean Jones - Suzanne Pleshette Director(s): Robert Stevenson DVD Release Date: 03 August 2004

The first sequel to The Love Bug is similar enough to the first film's charm and raucous comedy that it works on its own. Neither Dean Jones nor Michelle Lee are back, but a nice cast of familiar pros keeps things moving along slickly. The story finds Herbie helping Helen Hayes--yes, the First Lady of the American Theater--keep out of the clutches of Keenan Wynn's villain. --Tom KeoghMore Info About This DVD Actor(s): Helen Hayes - Ken Berry - Stefanie Powers Director(s): Robert Stevenson DVD Release Date: Released the 04 May 2004 Usually ships in 24 hours

Proving that sequels rarely measure up, Son of Flubber reunites cast, director (Robert Stevenson), studio (Disney), and concept (an eccentric inventor, played by Fred MacMurray, makes odd products with hilarious side effects), and still isn't as good as its predecessor, The Absent Minded Professor. MacMurray and company turn their attention to some new inventions, including flubber gas and dry rain, and while there's plenty of comedy to be had, the film is finally spotty and wears out its welcome. On the plus side, Paul Lynde is a funny addition to this follow-up. --Tom KeoghMore Info About This DVD Actor(s): Fred MacMurray - Nancy Olson Director(s): Robert Stevenson DVD Release Date: Released the 06 April 2004 Usually ships in 24 hours

The Gnome Mobile is a cute movie and stars Karen Dotrice and Matthew Garber the children who played Jane and Michael Banks in Mary Poppins. They are again playing a sister and brother but this time they are named Elizabeth and Rodney who go to California to visit their wealthy grandfather D.B. Mulrooney who is played by Walter Brennen who also plays one of the gnomes who Elizabeth and Rodney discover in a forest. The Great cast also includes Ed Wynn, Richard Deacon, Ellen Corby and Tom Lowell and I highly recommend this movie! This is a 5 star movie but I'm very disappointed that it's a pan and scan DVD and not widescreen! "The Misadventures of Merlin Jones" is a very likable film from Walt Disney. Tommy Kirk is excellent as the absent-minded student genius Merlin Jones attending Midvale College. Annette Funicello is Jennifer his girlfriend who constantly tries to get his attention. Leon Ames plays the pivital role of Judge Hornsby. This is one of those movies from the 60s containing a lot of campus mayhem and mishaps. The main title song, "Merlin Jones" was composed by the Sherman brothers and performed by Annette Funicello. It's a fun movie. More Info About This DVD Actor(s): Tommy Kirk - Annette Funicello Director(s): Robert Stevenson DVD Release Date: Released the 03 February 2004 Usually ships within 24 hours
