Take the first Pirates of the Caribbean film, add a dash of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and a lot more rum. Shake well and you'll have something resembling Dead Man's Chest, a bombastic sequel that's enjoyable as long as you don't think too hard about it. The film opens with the interrupted wedding of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), both of whom are arrested for aiding in the escape of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) in the first film. Their freedom can only be obtained by getting Captain Jack's compass, which is linked to a key that's linked to a chest belonging to Davy Jones, an undead pirate with a tentacle face and in possession of a lot of people's souls. If you're already confused, don't worry--plot is definitely not the... Learn More

I've been waiting for this series to be available for many years. My tapes of the few aired episodes were in poor shape, and I've wanted to see the unaired ones forever. The series is wonderfully dark and was unfortunately a bit early for it's time - the things it got canceled for probably wouldn't make anyone blink today. The unaired episodes were as good as I hoped, and they managed to bring the series to an acceptable ending - you want more, but can be satisfied with where it leaves off. I highly recommend it. A wedding brings everyone together in Capeside, but tragedy strikes, and the remaining friends are... More Info About This DVD Director(s): Lev L. What would you do if you were an ATF agent (John Allen Nelson) who knew your bosses were skimming guns, which resulted in your thwarting a bloodbath hit on a Greek Mafia chieftain (Peter Oronati), whose wife (Brenda Bakke) you'd recently taken a liking to? Well, you'd take a temp job with the Greek Mafia if it were offered, wouldn't you? It could happen. And that way you could cozy up to the wife until things cool down at the ATF. Charles Durning adds a weighty presence to the proceedings. Kurtwood Smith does smarmy evil with relish. The violent denouement features many people yelling names with all the pained primalism of Stanley Kowalski crying, "Stella!" --Jim GayMore Info About This DVD Actor(s): John Allen Nelson - Brenda Bakke Director(s): Scott Paulin DVD Release Date: Released the 29 February 2000 Usually ships within 24 hours
