Take the first Pirates of the Caribbean film, add a dash of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and a lot more rum. Shake well and you'll have something resembling Dead Man's Chest, a bombastic sequel that's enjoyable as long as you don't think too hard about it. The film opens with the interrupted wedding of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), both of whom are arrested for aiding in the escape of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) in the first film. Their freedom can only be obtained by getting Captain Jack's compass, which is linked to a key that's linked to a chest belonging to Davy Jones, an undead pirate with a tentacle face and in possession of a lot of people's souls. If you're already confused, don't worry--plot is definitely not the... Learn More

The CREATURE FEATURES series created for Cinemax was originated to remake classic films of the 50s. This one is based on a little known 1957 film, and director Scott Ziehl leads his cast though the motions quite convincingly. We meet Quentin (Devon Gummersall), a timid security clerk at a chemical laboratory, whose dream is to be a "superhero." He is falling for his next door neighbor, the glamorous nursing student, Stephanie (Amelia Heinle), but he doesn't have the confidence to ask her out. Meanwhile, back at the lab, someone breaks in and tries to steal something, which results in the death of Quentin's buddy, and he loses his job. Before he goes, however, he injects himself with spider DNA because his dead friend said that the serum would make spiders invincible. Of course, the... Two guys at a college prep school make wagers on seducing naive young girls, and then meet their match when they agree to see which one can seduce the most popular and devious girl who has her own agenda to everything. I think this film is really sucks but I loved Cruel Intentions 1 and CI2 but this film sucked. Rob Lowe and James Coburn star in this interesting near miss of a thriller with a good idea behind it. Lowe plays William Conroy, who is in prison for killing a woman in a drunk-driving accident. We know he is an intellectual prisoner because we see him reading 1984 and thinking a whole bunch. One night when he's up thinking, Conroy hears a disturbance in a nearby cell. He has, of course, heard too much and soon he's out of prison and running for his life. James Coburn ostensibly plays a victim's rights advocate, but you don't really think he's just going to sit around doing that, do you? The crux of the plot is an interesting idea, but the movie as a whole doesn't quite come off--it keeps lurching into the world of ridiculous hunches and providential timing. There are a few good... First off I'm a big fan of Jason London. I've loved him since "Man On The Moon". I also love Todd Field, he is so talented. Then my fiance got a movie to watch (it was his turn to pick) and he got this movie called Broken Vessels. I had never heard of it and he was like "It's really good". We start watching the movie and I see the names Jason London and Todd Field on the screen. I was thinking, "what, how could I have missed this one." Anyways, it really was a good movie with some fun charectors. The people who say this movie is realistic are morons who are into the whole heroin chic thing. This movie centers around Tom a EMT from P.A. who moves to LOS ANGELOS NOT NEW YORK. He's trying to get away from his past and make a fresh start (why the hell would you move to L.A. to do that)....
