Take the first Pirates of the Caribbean film, add a dash of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and a lot more rum. Shake well and you'll have something resembling Dead Man's Chest, a bombastic sequel that's enjoyable as long as you don't think too hard about it. The film opens with the interrupted wedding of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), both of whom are arrested for aiding in the escape of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) in the first film. Their freedom can only be obtained by getting Captain Jack's compass, which is linked to a key that's linked to a chest belonging to Davy Jones, an undead pirate with a tentacle face and in possession of a lot of people's souls. If you're already confused, don't worry--plot is definitely not the... Learn More

Many of the aspects of this show are complete crap. The dailogue sucks, the acting is terrible, the plot is unoriginal, and the "science" on which the entire thing is based is shaky at best. That said, I actually enjoyed Mutant X quite a bit. The special effects are pretty good, and it's always fun to watch people deflect bullets and fry bad guys with built in lasers. Also, Brennan and Jesse are totally hot and frequently wander around without their shirts on. The best thing by far about the third season is that stupid Adam and Emma get killed off. They were really starting to annoy me. Adam kept acting like some kind of fake Jedi knockoff (Control your anger Shalimar! The power is inside of you!) and dropping dark hints about secret plots and incredible danger that he refused to explain... More Info About This DVD Director(s): T.J. This show has engaging, non stereotypical characters and combines fantasy with sci-fi ; magic with technology; superpowers with human weaknesses and more. The martial arts sequesnces are stunning , especially for a rookie company with not a lot of money to spend. Its a shame that it was cancelled, which just goes to show that nowadays networks aren't willing to spend on shows... As with all shows the second season of this show really kicked it into high gear. We see more into the personal working of these characters, Brennnan,Shalimar,Jessie, Emma, and Adam. This season was considerly better than the 1st and the awful 3rd that followed. Agh if only twentyth Century Fox would just shutup saying this show bars there chance for a X-men show when is the last time they even did a telivision show? This is what promted alot of changes that resulted in a horrid 3rd year for this show. Peaple are very hard on this show. But come on peaple it is telivision do you really believe everything you see? Exactly so why does it all haft to make cents. Just watch and get lost in the magic that is Victoria Pratt. More Info About This DVD Director(s): John Fawcett - John Bell (XI) - Bill Corcoran - T.J. Season 2 of this show had large changes away from the all too noticeable X-Men look in season one. It pretty much became Adam and his team of young mutants helping different people fight crime and gangsters every week, It was not much of a premise to go on, and the rateings continued to slide every week, by the end of season two, the final show saw two characters die off screen (Adam and Emma) while the other three hit the road for parts unknown. By this time, Marvel and it;'s TV partners had a falling out and went to court, thuis making season three the last for this series, and that was just as well, because it was never anything special to start with. This was about 4 hours of entertainment for around $15! I can't see why people complain or say that it's expensive. The episodes were well done and had some of the best action I've seen for a TV production. Really great jumping and kicking. Good special effects too. I would recommend this for someone that wants something fun to watch late at night or on the weekend.
