Take the first Pirates of the Caribbean film, add a dash of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and a lot more rum. Shake well and you'll have something resembling Dead Man's Chest, a bombastic sequel that's enjoyable as long as you don't think too hard about it. The film opens with the interrupted wedding of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), both of whom are arrested for aiding in the escape of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) in the first film. Their freedom can only be obtained by getting Captain Jack's compass, which is linked to a key that's linked to a chest belonging to Davy Jones, an undead pirate with a tentacle face and in possession of a lot of people's souls. If you're already confused, don't worry--plot is definitely not the... Learn More

I have a large family and the Little House on the Prairie series has been tremendous fun for us all. I have enjoyed sharing the shows I remember from my childhood. And the children have continuously asked for more episodes. Everyone is very thrilled with the series. More Info About This DVD Director(s): William F. I've got bad news for all those people who condemn the Little House series as romantic, nostalgic fantasy. The fact is that good-hearted families like the Ingalls still exist today. You don't need horse and buggy or the like to have one. The persistent and insistent message of the media in sitcoms and most movies is that only hostile fighting families exist today or ever existed. This must be consoling for those people who grew up in such families. But, sorry, Charlie, according to empirical studies in sociology of the family, only one-third of families are like that today. (Another one-third are the indifferent, polite but cool families, and one-third are the warm, friendly families like the Ingalls.)
This review refers to the Goodtimes 2pack DVD edition of "Little House on the Prairie: The Premiere Movie/Remember Me"......
Fans of Little House will love these two sentimental favorite episodes that Goodtimes has put together in one great package. They are both wonderful examples of why this wholesome and inspiring series touched us 30 years ago and still touch us today.
"The Premiiere Movie" was the made for TV pilot, that introduced us to the Ingalls family and their quest to make a better life for themselves. The harrowing adventures, the love and joy, the tears and laughter as they journey from the 'Big Woods' of Wisconsin searching for a place to call home, will have you all choked up one minute and grinning ear to ear the next. You'll also meet Jack the dog, and Mr. Edwards for... In its day, V was a monumental event that for one generation remains a pop-culture touchstone. Close Encounters of the Third Kind may have reassured us that perhaps we have nothing to fear from alien visitors and E.T. introduced us to a benign extraterrestrial who only wanted to go home, but Kenneth Johnson's 1983 television miniseries knew better. Visitors who claim to come in peace are revealed to be nothing but human-looking reptilians on human conversion and conquest. As in the dark days of fascism, some collaborate with the enemy; others form the resistance.
At the time, the epic scale of this production was unprecedented. Those 50 motherships that hover over Earth's major cities anticipate Independence Day by more than a decade. The special effects and... More Info About This DVD Director(s): Kenneth Johnson - Victor Lobl - John Florea DVD Release Date: Released the 03 July 2001 Usually ships in 24 hours
