Take the first Pirates of the Caribbean film, add a dash of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and a lot more rum. Shake well and you'll have something resembling Dead Man's Chest, a bombastic sequel that's enjoyable as long as you don't think too hard about it. The film opens with the interrupted wedding of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), both of whom are arrested for aiding in the escape of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) in the first film. Their freedom can only be obtained by getting Captain Jack's compass, which is linked to a key that's linked to a chest belonging to Davy Jones, an undead pirate with a tentacle face and in possession of a lot of people's souls. If you're already confused, don't worry--plot is definitely not the... Learn More

First, a caveat: this 88-minute nostalgic romp through Mickey Mouse Club history is not The Best of Britney, Justin & Christina, but rather a compilation of four complete MMC episodes from Season Six with only minor appearances (a few songs and hometown profiles) by the namesake superstars. While the titles misrepresentation is disappointing (and suggests some exploitive marketing by Disney), the DVD, nonetheless, oozes with talent from the cast of all 20 mouseketeers, including lesser-known stars who were hugely popular during the shows run (89-94) such as Keri Russell, JC Chasez, and Ryan Gosling. These particular episodes were selected because they happen to include two-minute profiles of Britney Spears, who takes viewers back to her hometown in... Nickelodeon's fresh teen comedy (a successful spin off of The Amanda Show) displays the uncanny comedic talents of Drake Bell and Josh Peck as 15-year-old stepbrothers who are thrown together as roommates when Drake's mother marries Josh's father. Polar opposites in personality, the boys must navigate their way through a myriad of adjustments in their newly blended family. In the first of this two-episode program (from the TV series), Drake discovers that Josh is an undercover advice columnist for the school newspaper using the pseudonym "Miss Nancy." Tensions mount when girl-crazy Drake decides to exploit Josh's "insider information" to attract the school's hottest pick, Tiffany. The second segment, "Dune Buggy" takes a humorous yet insightful look at the "art" of lying--is it a... More Info About This DVD Director(s): Adam Weissman - Virgil L. This Nickelodeon sketch comedy series hosted by young comedienne Amanda Bynes is as fresh today as during its 1999-2000 run with still-timely jabs at reality shows, teen dramas, and fan obsession. Byne and her young castmates manage to have a goofily good time at no one's expense. In these two 22-minute episodes (#214 and #217), the cast manages to skewer hillbillies and (unidentifiable) immigrants without offending, probably because the other characters get theirs, as well, including a hapless Danny Bonaduce as an outraged video store customer. JudgeTrudy and her bailiff survive a reality-show challenge in the middle of an Oklahoman parking lot, Mr. Gullible tries to be a good sport during a school fire drill, and Penelope Taint, Amanda's no. 1 fan, is able to prove her case.
