    covered ground.

Want Sci-Fi action and adventure? Want a plot about companies messing with your mind? Wamt facsinating scenes of Mars? Well you'll find it all here, and all taken directly from Total Recall, but this movie isn't as good as it's namesake.

Yeah, all five sconds of the scenery on Mars is borrowed directly from Arnolds action packed adventure. What's more, after seeing the mysterious VTOL looking craft (Same as in TOTAL RECALL) go into a bunker, you get to see inside the bunker, where our passenger disembark from what looks like a Mercury landing capsule!

OK, other intersting point, there was no reason whatsoeever for the movie to have set that scene on Mars. It could just as well have happened in Nevada, or Brazil, or even downtown London.

There is one original feature, that is the Androids, which the movie supposedly is all about. Odd, these cyborgs all bleed milk and noodles like the ones in Alien...

Of course, there is the scene of gratuitous nuduty in the beginning, but if that's what you look for in a movie, you probably aren't too interested in Sci-Fi.

    MEMORY LAPSE

I didn't know this was the first two episodes of a television series, but after watching it, I certainly can see that it was. The production values are okay, but I understand some of the footage of Mars was taken directly from the Schwarzenegger hit movie which spawned this series.
Michael Easton, Nick Mancuso and Karl Pruner did commendable jobs in their roles, but the script was a little contrived and direction a little tepid for this kind of action film. Cynthia Preston is all but wasted in the typical wife who hates her husband's job and whose father was killed fifteen years earlier.
Not an unenjoyable movie, just flat.

    Way underrated

This "movie" is the first two episodes of an awesome TV series. It is a captivating blend of 80% Blade Runner, 15% Total Recall, and 5% Data from Star Trek. The plot is dark and intriguing. Character development is excellent. Cyberpunk 2020 role-playing fans should love this. I just hope that episodes 3-22 come out on DVD - the sooner, the better.

Total Recall (Special Limited Edition) DVD

This science fiction blockbuster from 1990 began its production life as a very different movie than the one that was released. An adaptation of the Philip K. Dick short story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale," Total Recall was originally conceived of with Richard Dreyfuss starring as a Walter Mitty-like character who experiences a variety of artificially induced fantasies. The movie we know is a mega-budget action epic set on Mars. Arnold Schwarzenegger plays a normal working man who discovers that his entire reality has been invented to conceal a plot of planetary domination. Oscar-winning special effects and violent action propel the twisting plot, in which Arnold manipulates his manipulators in a world of dazzling high technology. Director Paul Verhoeven (Robocop)... Impostor (Director's Cut) DVD

Based on a short story by sci-fi master Philip K. Dick, Impostor holds considerable appeal for genre enthusiasts, who will instantly recognize trace elements of the Dick-based Total Recall and Blade Runner. Fortunately, derivative plotting doesn't detract from director Gary Fleder's capable handling of briskly paced action involving Spencer Olham (Gary Sinise), a weapons designer suspected of being an alien robot with an assassin's agenda. The year is 2079; Earth is at war with an alien race called the Centauri, and its dome-sealed cities are intensely monitored by the Earth Security Agency. A high-tech chase ensues between Olham and his ESA pursuer (Vincent D'Onofrio), testing the bond of trust between Olham and his physician wife (Madeleine Stowe). This... More Info about this DVD

    Murder at Devil's Glen DVD

Rick Schroeder does a fantastic job of playing the "bad guy" in this film. He is one of four fraternity brothers who go out one night and decide to play a practical joke on some frat brothers with a girl they picked up in a restaurant named Kelly (Tara Reid). They steal a car, head for the beach later on in the night, one thing leads to another, and Kelly ends up getting killed. Not knowing what to do, they panic and decide to bury the body. Eight years later, they find out that a construction company is going to be breaking ground on the exact spot where they buried Kelly, and they must get together after all these years, dig her up, and move her body to yet another hole in the ground. There is nothing predictable about this movie, and it ends in a downright shocking way. It is a must... More Info about this DVD
