Here is a listing of the episodes of "That Girl" included on this disc:
1. Don't Just Do Something, Stand There 2. Anatomy of a Blunder 3. Counter Proposal 4. Call of the Wild 5. Nobody Here But Us Chickens 6. The Snow Must Go On 7. This Little Piggy Had a Ball (Rob Reiner and Teri Garr have a cameo) 8. Pass the Potatoes, Ethel Merman (guest starring -- you guessed it -- Ethel Merman) 9. Those Friars (Milton Berle and Danny Thomas guest star)
As for my opinion on the disc itself, I think it's a nice, well-rounded grouping of some of That Girl's best moments. Watching this disc, I like the show even more now than I already did. It was interesting seeing how Donald met Ann Marie, and the very funny episode where Donald is supposed to meet Ann's parents for the first time, but a run of bad luck seems intent on ruining any good first impression he might make on them. The episode where Donald finally proposes to Ann is included on here as well. Another thing I found interesting was seeing how much fashions changed during the show's run.
THAT GIRL is THAT GOOD!
Beautiful transfers on these episodes! The DVD is perfect in every way. Love the photos on the packaging, just wish they would have used the original THAT GIRL logo and lettering instead of the non-related logo used. A very small complaint for a perfect job by ANCHOR BAY! If you like the show...you will love these episodes. Hope the second video set comes out on DVD too! Keep going with the series as IMAGE is doing with I SPY! Also, love the Marlo promo at the end of the first episode aired. Would love to see more extras like that...promos, etc. I know a few collectors that have some if you need them. GREAT JOB! Rick
What's on the 2nd tape?
Can anyone tell me the title of the 2nd tape in the "That Girl Box Set -VHS", and which episodes tape 2 includes? I don't see any mention (or picture) of the second tape.
Celebrity guest stars such as William Holden, Orson Welles, and John Wayne had always been a successful trademark on Lucille Ball's four television series, beginning in 1951 with I Love Lucy through her fourth and final program, Here's Lucy, lasting 1968 through 1972. Here's Lucy: Best Loved Episodes from the Hit TV Series is a best-of package with an emphasis on celebrity-driven stories starring the likes of Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, Jack Benny, Ginger Rogers, and Milton Berle. The anthology has been compiled by Ball's two children, Lucie Arnaz and Desi Arnaz Jr., who co-starred on the show as Kim and Craig Carter, adolescent daughter and son of Ball's character, widow Lucille Carter. The Arnaz offspring are all over this set in a very charming way,... More Info about this DVD Actor(s): Lucille Ball DVD Release Date: Released the 17 August 2004 Usually ships in 24 hours

She finally made it after all... to DVD! Created by James L. Brooks and Allan Burns, The Mary Tyler Moore Show is the very model of a tailor-made star vehicle. It transformed Moore from Dick Van Dyke's wacky housewife to empowered thirtysomething single woman determined to make it on her own. Moore was the anchor of a peerless ensemble who brought to life characters so indelible that three of them, Ed Asner's Lou Grant, Valerie Harper's Rhoda, and Cloris Leachman's Phyllis, would each get their own series. The 24 episodes that comprise the Emmy-winning first season (1970) hilariously set the stage for what would become one of television's most beloved sitcoms, ranked by TV Guide in 2002 as the 11th greatest of all time (it should have been higher!). The classic pilot episode... More Info about this DVD DVD Release Date: Released the 24 September 2002 Usually ships in 24 hours

This was such a window into the world of the 1950s and 60s! This DVD contains one episode each of The Celebrity Game (hosted by Carl Reiner 1964-65), Name That Tune (1953-1959), Masquerade Party (1952-1960), Beat the Clock (1950-1958), and two episodes of Do You Trust Your Wife (hosted by Edgar Bergen 1956-1963). It was great to see shows that you would never find elsewhere, along with the original commercials. Only Beat the Clock has been shown on GSN. What a hoot! Just wish there were more like this! Hail, Taxi. It's great to finally have one of the defining sitcoms of the 1970s available on DVD to take out for a spin. This character-driven humane comedy from the creators of The Mary Tyler Moore Show rolled out of the garage with a full tank of gas: a lightning-in-a-bottle ensemble, smart, witty, and compassionate writing, and extraordinary characters. The Sunshine Cab Company was a much grittier workplace than the sunny WJM newsroom. Its down, but never out employees--single mother Elaine (Marilu Henner), aspiring actor Bobby (Jeff Conaway), hapless boxer Tony (Tony Danza), reptilian dispatcher Louis (Danny DeVito), naive rube John (Randall Carver), and indeterminately foreign mechanic Latka (comic iconoclast Andy Kaufman)--struggled to keep rolling along. Judd Hirsch's... More Info about this DVD Actor(s): Judd Hirsch DVD Release Date: Released the 12 October 2004 Usually ships in 24 hours
