    Review(s): DVD The Real McCoys
    disapointed

This was one of my favorite shows of all time. But this DVD was a huge let down. First it is only four episodes. And it is the fist four that were not the best shows. The program got funnier and far better as time went along. Grandpa doesn't evan have his trade mark limp in these episodes.

    Excellent T.V. Series

This was one of the most endearing series ever to hit T.V. My wife who had never seen the show fell instantly in love. We both can't wait until more episodes are released. We have all that are currently available. Start churning them out. Great family entertainment and excellent for building values.

Green Acres - The Complete First Season DVD

The Catalog of Cool describes Green Acres this way:
To be truly cool, one must genuinely understand the uselessness of logic and reason in a world gone mad.... Eddie Albert (ostensibly sane) spent six seasons appealing to the whacked out citizens of Hooterville to behave in a rational and orderly manner. Naturally, he got just what he deserved--the gradual erosion of his own mental stability. Aficionados of this show like to call it surreal. I call it real life.
All one can add to that, to paraphrase the classic title song, is that DVD is the place for Green Acres to be. Hooterville may have been condemned by critics as a vast wasteland, but as the first season demonstrates, it provides fertile ground for bizarre behavior for a gallery of... More Info about this DVD

    Petticoat Junction DVD

Petticoat Junction aired on TV about 2 years before I was born and I grew up watching the reruns in the 70's and I thought it was such a cute sitcom and I think it's really good that there is a DVD out with some of the episodes but why haven't complete season DVD boxsets been released yet? Green Acres which I think is a spin-off of Petticoat Junction just had it's first season released in a DVD boxset so isn't it about time they also released complete seasons of Petticoat Junction on DVD? 1950s TV's Greatest Shows Featuring: The Jack Benny Program / Dragnet / The Burns and Allen Show / The Lone Ranger / The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet / Sea Hunt / The Red Skelton Show / Suspense / Our Miss Brooks / Mr. & Mrs. North / The Life of Riley / Racket Squad DVD

This DVD set is just plain awful.

Obscure, bottom-of-the-sewer episodes complete with authentic 1950s television broadcast quality.

Normally I would be happy to expound upon my review, but this DVD "collection" is not even worth the few extra seconds it would take to type the words.

Avoid this purchase like the plague. More Info about this DVD

The Best of Mister Ed - Volume 1 DVD

"It's been a long time since I was a pony." These immortal words launched one of television's most unlikely, but enduring friendships between architect Wilbur Post and Mister Ed, his talking horse. What better escape from the onslaught of reality television than a thoroughbred example of unreality television? Although, so convincing is Alan Young as Wilbur, and so easy his rapport with his equine costar, that you really do believe a horse can talk (Ed's voice is courtesy of Western character actor Alan Lane). This two-disc set saddles up 21 episodes from the first three seasons of this Golden Globe-winning series, which was recently added to the TV Land stable of '60s retro faves. Director Arthur Lubin knew his way around the barn. He directed the best of the Francis series of... More Info about this DVD
