    Where's Tom Berenger?

Whoa! this Movie was horrible! Wouldnt it make more sense to have Tom Berenger in the movie? Why even make a SUB 4 if he's not in it? Also, besides him not being in it, there were many flaws, Dont get me started

Sub-4 Will Take Your Breath Away!

Wow. First off, I just want to say that this movie is truly a significant achievement in the history of filmmaking. Treat Williams stars in this thrilling drama, that sends a humble mercenary into the very heart of a Neo-Nazi conspiracy. Set in the late 1990's, our mercenary-hero (armed with high-explosives and a Ph.D. in modern literature) becomes a substitute at a military academy, only to discover it's been overrun by Nazi-thugs and a world-class exterminator. Peppered with megabuck special effects, including a scene in which the intolerant Nazis blow up a minority owned power plant, this movie proves itself to be a treat (no pun intended) for the eyes, as well as the soul. You'll truly feel like you're part of the action as Treat crushes his students with a bulldozer, beats ass in the classroom with chalkboard erasers, and kills the Nazi-principal as he screams in desperation for "racial purity". Put the children to bed for this one! "Substitute 4: Failure Is not an Option" will affect you in ways few films have. Its realistic portrayal of Nazism in our military academies is a silent and chilling reminder of who's really in charge of our children's futures. Your life will never be the same, once you see this film. Its title may seem cryptic, yet its message rings clear. Failure is NOT an Option!

    Substitute 4...Need I Say More?

Well, here comes the forth and hopfully last in the Substitute series. They should have only made one. This show is not worthy of sequels. I guess that Artisan thought that they could profit off of this series. Don't get me wrong, Treat Williams is a great actor, it's just too bad that he always lands in the straight to video movies. (Everwood may take up a lot of his time now so he won't have to make these types of movies). Angie Everhart's acting is not superb but decent. As for the others, judge that for yourself. The only thing that caught my interest in this movie was the scene between Teague Ted and the girl. The guy who plays Teague Ted is so hot. Being a teen boy having the girl in this movie was nice to see too.

BELIEVE IT OR NOT, MARC ANTHONY [WHO'S BEST REMEMBERED FOR 1998'S ''I NEED TO KNOW''] ACTUALLY HAS A ROLE IN THIS MOVIE AS A GANG LEADER. THIS IS DEFINITELY WORTH WATCHING. Human Cargo DVD

Though it opens with the type of "we're not saying all Arabs are bad" disclaimer (not to mention the dreaded "based on a true story" logo) that leads you to fear the worst, Human Cargo actually portrays its cultural conflicts with refreshing fairness. In 1979, John McDonald (nicely played by Treat Williams as less a blissful optimist than a desperate man concealing his indignation with a mask of willed hopefulness) goes to Saudi Arabia expecting to construct prefab homes in collaboration with a wealthy sheik. His supposed partners, however, are tight-fisted con men, who foist all expenses on McDonald's shoulders and are perfectly willing to throw him in jail and confiscate his passport when he balks at paying. The film is horrified at the plutocratic iniquities of the Saudi... More Info about this DVD

    Another 9 1/2 Weeks DVD

Played to surly, snarly imperfection, Mickey Rourke's character (John) in 9-1/2 Weeks helped raise the bar on how much to reveal in mainstream soft porn. Whether erotic tension was raised by his relationship with Elizabeth (Kim Basinger) is another matter, and may well reflect whether one is aroused by the idea of abusive sex with--well, someone like Mickey Rourke.

Regardless, Another 9-1/2 Weeks was released direct to video, so perhaps this tells us something about the confidence of loosing a sequel into an unsuspecting theater market. Of course, the central question raised by the sequel is: Whatever happened to John? After all, when Kim Basinger won an Oscar in L.A. Confidential, we lost any chance of seeing what happened to Elizabeth. Well, true to his burly... More Info about this DVD

Journey to the Center of the Earth DVD

I quite enjoy Hallmark's tv series. They release remakes and adaptations of enjoyable fantasy movies and legends with a modern twist and great effects. Naturally I saw their stamp on this DVD and thought "Great!" Oh dear....what a shame.

This movie tries hard to be interesting and it is watchable, but only just. Explorers searching for a missing doctor make their way to the centre of the earth and get caught up in a conflict between two prehistoric races. There is almost nothing from Jules Verne's classic story here, as has been mentioned already, but I found even for a fan of fantasy this was much less than what I expected. I think it is fair to say that Hallmark relied on the cast and title to sell the movie rather than a decent script. It's lazy, uninspired and often very dull. More Info about this DVD
