Fraternity Vacation is an excellent movie. I love this film. Stephen Georffeys is excellent as Wendell Tvedt, as well as Amanda Bearse. All the actors are well casted. Cameron Dye as Joe and Tim Robbins as Mother are hilerious and are well paired as buddies. Sheree J. Wilson is excellent and charming. It's nice to see Barbara Crampton and Kathleen Kinmont in their somewhat small roles. With this movie, you just have fun. It's funny, there's some romance and a little bit of nudity, if your Barbara Crampton and Kathleen Kinmont fans-you'll love it. This film is a classic in my opinion. By Justine Ryan
Barbara and Kathleen are the real stars
The five stars is rewarded to the infamous scene with Barbara and Kathleen. They are so gorgeous. They are the true stars of this movies. I never grow tired of watching that scene over and over again. This is their best work ever.
Stephen Geoffreys, you the man
One should see this movie solely to see Stephen Geoffreys and Amanda Bearse working together again (from FRIGHT NIGHT). When watching the topless scenes, remember, this is fro mthe guy that directed THE MUPPET MOVIE.
A "let's get laid" favorite from the teen-comedy trend of the early 1980s, The Last American Virgin is beloved enough to earn its own fan-driven website, and it's still lots of fun. While tapping into the same zeitgeist that popularized Fast Times at Ridgemont High (which was released just one week earlier), this above-average sex comedy mixes high-school high jinks with the real anguish of unrequited love, as a nice kid named Gary (Lawrence Monoson) falls for Karen (Diane Franklin), a cute classmate who won't return his affections. Gary delivers pizza, leading to the comic highlight when his horny pals (Steve Antin, Joe Rubbo) deliver more than pizza to a lonely Latina bombshell (Louisa Moritz). But Gary wants his "first time" to be special, and director Boaz Davidson... In the brief flower of his teen idolhood, C. Thomas Howell starred in this unexpectedly mature teen comedy. High school loser Michael (Howell) receives an unsigned love note and hopes it's from the queen of the social scene, Debbie (Kelly Preston). When Debbie brushes him off, his best friend Toni (Lori Loughlin) convinces him to send her an anonymous note of his own--only Toni, who's so in love with Michael that she wants him to be happy, rewrites his clumsy fumblings into romantic prose, and Debbie swoons. Meanwhile, the first note has fallen into other hands, setting off misguided passion among the kids' parents. Secret Admirer could have been familiar fluff, but the plot keeps taking unexpected turns, tweaking the clichés of the teen genre with a dose of reality.... As rites-of-passage films featuring a young man's sexual initiation in the arms of a beautiful woman go, Class (1983) has plenty going for it, not least its attractive cast: Andrew McCarthy as Jonathan, Rob Lowe as Gatsbyish best friend Skip, and Jacqueline Bisset as the beautiful woman who's old enough to know better and just happens to be Skip's mother.
Lewis John Carlino's film has moments of insight, taking a few well-aimed shots at the vaguely sinister network of private-school life. In the first reel it neatly subverts the bullying scenario that threatens when the geeky Jonathan arrives at the school, while offering the briefly intriguing sight of Lowe in scarlet bra and pants. And there's a subplot of deceit and complicity that both strengthens and threatens the... I'm a diehard skier and when this film came out in 1984, the fellow skibums and I decided to attend opening night. I was only a junior at the time, and at know ones surprise, skibums from all three local highschools attended. We all bonded on and off the slopes, so a few beers in the parking lot and we were ready for some ski action. We were not dissapointed, for that time, it was the best ski footage on film, alot has changed in skiing since then, but remember this is 1984. We had a rollicking good time, David Naughton made the film, funny and cocky. Doesen't hurt having Shannon Tweed, playmate of the year for some eyecandy, she prevails. The main character, "Harkin Banks" is played by a preppy Patrick Houser who obviously was cast for his looks and not his acting, he is horrible, but... This was a very interesting film. It's about a psycho director shooting a murder movie where the people actually get killed! The people are killed in famous Hollywood death scenes such as the shower scene from Psycho and the chainsaw scene from Scarface. Grisly. Kathleen Kinmont was awesome in this! It also stars Sarah Douglas from Puppet Master 3. See Psycho and Scarface before you see it. If you liked it see C.i.a. :codename Alexa, which also stars Kathleen Kinmont.
