This should definitely be a made for TV movie as it was totally predictable! This couple submits an ad to become swingers to spice up their love life. Later they decide they don't need these people anymore but they won't let down...I am sure you can figure out the rest from there, this movie was a total cliche.
Cheap Thrills....
Alan (Cameron Daddo) and Wendy Barnet (Brandy Ledford) are your normal, average couple who have succumbed to sexual boredom. One day, while visiting a sex shop, Alan buys a swingers' magazine. Of course, there is some initial hesitation, but eventually curiosity gets the best of them and they place an ad. They receive a response from a couple Jack (Stephen Baldwin) and Louise (Kristy Swanson) Bauer--who seem irresistibly charming and very good-looking. After a call from Alan, they decide to meet at a local bar, aptly titled the "Zebra Lounge". A few drinks, and Wendy is feeling a little hesistant. I mean is this really what she wants? Is this going to save their marriage? The plot is superficially thin and the acting is so-so. But you can see where this is heading, and that is part of the fun. So needless to say, the Barnet couple give in to temptation--and have a wild time with the Bauers. After satisfying their curiosity, the Barnets are ready to throw in the towel and call it quits. But the Bauers are not so ready to be tossed to the side!! They had plans on a long-term meaningful relationship! And that is where the PROBLEMS start! This movie is okay, especially if you want a cheap thrill, have nothing else to do, or feel like watching some soft-porn with plenty of simulated acts. Just be sure to put the kids to bed first.
It's easy to identify the biggest attraction of Killing Me Softly: two fetching actors (Heather Graham, Joseph Fiennes) and lots of nudity--especially in the unrated version. It's harder to choose the bigger liability: the dialogue howlers (as Fiennes binds Graham in ropes, she says, "Sometimes I feel like I don't know you") or the incredibly obvious solution to the big mystery. The story is an unofficial update of Hitchcock's Suspicion: a new wife wonders whether her unbelievably charismatic husband might be a murderer. The Chinese filmmaker Chen Kaige (Farewell My Concubine) turns out to be exactly the wrong director for this overheated slice of l'amour fou in London, but with the hopeless pairing of Graham and Fiennes as the passionate lovers, he didn't have... Joel Silver (48 Hours, Die Hard, The Matrix) has a theory about action movies--you need a good bang-up scene about every 10 minutes. The people who made The New Seduction operate on the same principle, only instead of car chases and explosions, the curvaceous Jaime Pressly takes her clothes off and then, more likely than not, has sex with someone.
