Review(s): DVD Bully (Unrated/ Theatrical Edition)
Bully - Based On True Story In Florida
Bully stars Brad Renfro (Apt Pupil) and Nich Stahl. These two characters grew up together. Nick Stahl's character is a bit of a sadistic bully. Brad's character takes the abuse because he doesn't know what to do about it...until he gets a girl friend who despises the bully. The girlfriend plots the murder of him and manages to pull all the other characters into it. Very, very dumb teenagers who can't seem to think 30 minutes into the future.
This movie has lots of sex and violence including rape. Full frontal nudity of females and partial frontal nudity of males.
The movie is worth seeing but at the end, you'll be shaking your head finding it hard to believe that people exist who are that dumb. There are. It's a true story.
Fraction of ***ked up Society We Live in
The concept is a sick one, but I am sure it represents some aspect of reality. I watch crime documentary sort of TV programs often, and the disturbed teenagers in the film have a lot in common with other crime prone kids I had seen on TV. I find this film somewhat educational in that it represents how those type of people think. It is a reality that some people are VERY disturbed, and this film reminds me of that. Those disturbed kids are everywhere not only in America.
It is not badly made movie, but it is not fun and therefore I cannot give a high review score.
Good movie, but some important details were left out.
I enjoyed the movie when i saw it, but I knew there was something missing to the story. Then, I happened to see the A & E true story about this. Turns out that Marty may have been being molested by Bobby. When Marty decided he didn't want to be gay with Bobby anymore Bobby started making threats and being forceful with him. So, not only was Bobby date raping women, but he may have also raped Marty as well. With this concoction added to the fire, it's a little easier to see why Marty and others may have snapped the way they did. What a sad, sad story.
Larry Clark's controversial film about New York City adolescents walking the AIDS tightrope is also an unblinking look at the dehumanizing rituals of growing up. But it really doesn't add up to more than the sum of its various shocks--virgin busting, skinny-dipping, male callousness--overlayed with middle-class disapproval. Clark is hectoring us for cutting kids loose at a terrible time in modern American history, but so are a lot of other people, who also offer alternatives and ideas. The film does nothing to push us toward new thoughts, new solutions, new dreams. It is more like a window onto our worst fantasies about what our children are doing out there on the streets. --Tom KeoghMore Info about this DVD Actor(s): Leo Fitzpatrick - Justin Pierce - Chloë Sevigny Director(s): Larry Clark DVD Release Date: Released the 07 November 2000 Usually ships in 24 hours

A love letter to movies (and the French new wave of the 1960s in particular), Bernardo Bertolucci's The Dreamers starts with a 1968 riot outside of a Parisian movie palace then burrows into an insular love triangle. Matthew (Michael Pitt, Hedwig and the Angry Inch), an expatriate American student, bonds with a twin brother and sister, Isabelle (Eva Green) and Theo (Louis Garrel), over their mutual love of film--they not only quote lines of dialogue, they act out small bits and challenge each other to name the cinematic source. Matthew suspects the twins of incest, but that doesn't stop him from falling into his own intimacies with Isabelle. As the threesome becomes threatened, Paris succumbs to student riots. The Dreamers aspires to be kinky, but the results are more... More Info about this DVD Director(s): Bernardo Bertolucci DVD Release Date: Released the 13 July 2004 Usually ships in 24 hours

Having apparently anointed himself the American cinema's poet of decadence, filmmaker Larry Clark follows his critically acclaimed Kids with yet another tour through the darker regions of American squalor. Another Day in Paradise--even the title screams of amateurish irony--may be powerfully acted by a fine cast of new and familiar faces, but how many times can we eavesdrop on the lives of murderous, self-destructive heroin junkie thieves before we just get morosely depressed? James Woods and Melanie Griffith are superb as a pair of surrogate parents to the young couple (Vincent Kartheiser, Natasha Gregson Wagner) whom they recruit as accomplices in a series of robberies and dangerous deals, but what exactly is the point of this overindulgent, gutter-mouthed, and ultimately... In my personal opinion, i felt Gummo to be a boring film. Harmony Korine is a talented individual, but it seems that this film was missing an important element. That element was a storyline. Kids is a masterpiece, due to the fact of a great storyline. I didnt feel a connection with the characters of Gummo. I felt there wasnt a main focus to the film. It was sprawled out disconnected. But never the less, i did understand his reasoning for taking you into the world we stereotype as white/trailer trash. But overall, Gummo is a million pieces to a puzzle that aren't put into the right slots. I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. The sex scenes were some of the best I've seen because they were graphic yet very realistic. The story was touching and honest. If you're an adult who enjoys a realistic story that is very hot, you will definitely enjoy this gem. Watch and enjoy!
