This movie was NOT a good movie. Don't even bother wasting your time on it. Why are such movies made? I don't know. It was a big waste of time, money and film and I'm glad that the theater price wasn't paid. It just isn't a good movie worthy of watching. We also need cleaner movies, and this one doesn't qualify. It is just not worthy of time or energy.
WoW! excellant!
This was an on the edge of your seat movie an was filmed about 40 miles from where I live now. Hemlock is a great resort!
I found this movie to be a real tearjerker. I was touched as well as everyone that I saw it with. More Info about this DVD Actor(s): Joe Spano DVD Release Date: Released the 08 July 2003 Special Order

What can one say about a movie that offers such gorgeous vistas of the beautiful Alaskan countryside? Admit it - those of us who have never experienced such wonder can only stare in awe at the tremendous power of the avalanche. Add Thomas Ian Griffith's dimples, Caroleen Feeney's birthmark, F. Lee Ermey's continued lack of acting ability; C. Thomas Howell's quick departure, and some adequate special effects, you can't help but be entertained by this cornball thriller. Some cute animals, and a nice turn by Geoffrey Lower as a villain make ESCAPE FROM ALASKA good escapist fare! I am afraid that this rather murky and smeary print of a most forgettable film does full justice to the original. Materials handled with a certain amount of class in THE TOWERING INFERNO (such as the flashback, the smoke-filled room, the heroic firefighter, etc) here receive short shrift. This is disaster by the book, with little sympathy for the participants, little compassion for the victims, and little effort in the effects.
The print from which this DVD is taken seems in dire need of restoration. Focus is foggy, color faded, images darkened, clips and frames missing.
And yet, if you are a disaster-film junky such as I am, this film at its modest price will be a suitable addition to your collection. More Info about this DVD Director(s): Jerry Jameson DVD Release Date: Released the 01 December 1999 Special Order

The title says the tale. It is a forgone conclusion that ice and snow will fall, but the plots and subplots are intriguing. Albeit the special effects aged, but the cast is superb, I really enjoyed this film. More Info about this DVD Director(s): Corey Allen DVD Release Date: Released the 25 September 2001 Special Order

The second and last season of Dark Angel, the inventive James Cameron show about mutants during a future Depression, has some real strengths as well as one or two bad ideas that partly explain its much-regretted cancellation. Among the strengths are Alex (Jensen Ackles), the thoroughly unreliable mutant charmer whose flirtations with heroine Max (Jessica Alba) complicate her doomed love for Logan (Michael Weatherly), the crippled newshound whom she cannot now even touch--she has been infected with a deadly virus tailored specifically to kill him. The distrust this sows between the doomed couple does not always avoid soap-opera clichés, but often produces fine performances from all three, especially Alba.
On the deficit side, John Savage's memorably ambiguous villain... More Info about this DVD Actor(s): Jessica Alba DVD Release Date: Released the 21 October 2003 Usually ships in 24 hours
