Man, these people are giving this movie horrible reviews- I mean, yeah you might not love it at an older age, some might find it just disturbing...
However I used to watch this as a kid and loved this show so much!! At 15, I just happened to find it on Television, and I just had to stop and watch the show to think about old times, sitting at home on my couch all alone watching this show and drinking some cola... I think at least you should check it out for your kids- they should like it.
I Loved It
I haven't seen this movie in years, but even I can remember it being one of my absoulute favourite movies when I was a kid. Well, I'm 15 now, but anyway. I've talked about it with my friends before too, because one of them mentioned it one time, and they all loved it as smaller kids too. I must have seen it a million times, and I never ever got sick of it. I would recommend this for all younger children, because I think they'll love it too.
this movie was not to good
I laughed so hard through out this whole movie. It is very stupid. The plot is a good troll lives in a world with bad trolls. The good troll has a magical green thumb, and he can make talking flowers. The bad trolls can turn things to stone. The bad trolls find out he is making flowers and banish him to new york city but he ends up in central park. He meets two smal children. The rest of the movie is just a weird acid trip. The movie is ful of bright colors and plot holes. I'm sure younger children might enjoy the movie, I did but only because the movie was stupid. Hehe
Ranking just behind the best of animator Don Bluth's films (Anastasia and The Secret of NIMH), Thumbelina is a bubble-light version of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale. The finger-sized heroine goes about the old-fashioned trials of trying to find a good man, but the film is clever enough to make it endearing for the 3-6 set and more than passable for adult viewers. Barry Manilow provides much of the song score, which helps immensely. The ballad "Let Me Be Your Wings" is as good as Disney's best. Carol Channing and Charo have a good ol' time with their songs too. The voice of Thumbelina is none other than Jodi Benson, who gave voice to Ariel in Disney's The Little Mermaid. --Doug ThomasMore Info about this DVD Actor(s): Jodi Benson - Gary Imhoff Director(s): Gary Goldman - Don Bluth DVD Release Date: Released the 19 February 2002 Usually ships in 24 hours

Environmentally friendly animated film with a strong message that doesn't club anyone over the head--but it certainly can't be missed. Zak (voiced by Christian Slater) is a heavy-machine operator whose job is to push over any vegetation in his path. He's shrunken to wee size, however, when Crysta (Samantha Mathis), a fairy of the forest, not only finds him cute but wants him to see the results of his handiwork. They end up battling Hexxus, an evil force imprisoned in a tree, which now wants to destroy all of Ferngully. Robin Williams offers genuine comic relief as a bat named Batty Koda. Agreeable without making much impact, it's a piffle of a film for one that deals with such strong subject matter. --Keith SimantonMore Info about this DVD Actor(s): Tim Curry - Samantha Mathis - Christian Slater - Robin Williams Director(s): Bill Kroyer DVD Release Date: Released the 19 February 2002 This item is currently not available.

As a brief promo by a Sea World Animal Ambassador tells us before the movie begins, male penguins really do present pebbles to the females during a courtship that will result in a lifetime match. This post-Thumbelina Don Bluth/Barry Manilow effort gives us Hubie, a nerdy penguin whose love for the beautiful Marina, remarkably, is returned. Alas, before he can present her with a fine stone, his evil--and strangely buff--rival throws him into the swirling sea. Epic adventures and a comical sidekick result. Leopard seals and killer whales threaten, but kids will be entertained rather than frightened by this harmless, if less-than-brilliant movie. --Kimberly HeinrichsMore Info about this DVD Actor(s): Martin Short - James Belushi Director(s): Don Bluth - Gary Goldman DVD Release Date: Released the 18 December 2001 Usually ships within 24 hours

Life in FernGully, a 1,000-year-old rainforest, is idyllic for the woodland animals and two fairies named Crysta and Pips. Still, Pips longs to see the world beyond the forest. When two human poachers steal three baby animals under Crysta's care, Pips is quick to declare his intention to travel to "town" and rescue the stolen animals. A bat (appropriately named Batty) offers much doom-and-gloom advice against the trip, but eventually Pips and his band of Beetle Boys head to town with Batty in the lead. Crysta soon finds the poacher's abandoned dog and follows her friends to town in the hopes of returning the dog to his home. The group's first glimpses of town show a grimy dump and a sewer pipe dumping refuse into a local body of water. A carnival changes their perspective, offers a chance...
