This movie had me on the edge of my seat for two hours! This action packed thriller has it all. The beautiful young hostage (played by Becky Israel) is a star in the making. I think this is the beginning of a successful career for her.
I liked this movie. It helps if you have a clue who Jimmy Buffett is or some of the jokes aren't that funny. The characters are great also - like the security guard! And the fun police rings familiar if you have ever been to a resort with an activities director. The movie is a horror spoof that actually is scary in parts. In being true to the genre there is a lot of pointless nudity. I have watched this movie about 10 times already. It is too hard to compare this to super troopers so don't even try. Plus pay attention to the words in the coconut pete songs like the line "mouth tastes like pinata turd". The Buffett style songs are funny as hell. This also comes off as a murder mystery as you are trying to find out who is killing all of the guests. A lot has changed in the biker-movie genre since Hell's Angels on Wheels, and Torque may be the new benchmark of feverish chopper action. Martin Henderson plays Cary, a speed king and relatively civilized outlaw with a knack for annoying everyone, including drug smugglers, the FBI, an ex-girlfriend, and, worst of all, biker gang leader Trey (Ice Cube), who thinks Cary killed his brother. On the run from everyone, Cary survives by playing all sides against one another. But the story is less important than the frantic, over-the-top, tongue-in-cheek action surrounding it. The Fast and the Furious producer Neal H. Moritz is responsible for this crazy, violent, yet appealingly sardonic cowboys-on-wheels piece. --Tom KeoghMore Info about this DVD Actor(s): Ice Cube - Martin Henderson - Monet Mazur Director(s): Joseph Kahn DVD Release Date: Released the 18 May 2004 Usually ships in 24 hours

Marking an assured directorial debut for actor John Malkovich, The Dancer Upstairs is a tense, nerve-jangling political thriller that values adult storytelling and emotional depth over cheap thrills. It's a challenge for those accustomed to the frantic pace of Hollywood thrillers, but attentive viewers will be richly rewarded by Malkovich's slow-burn approach to the film's terrorist plot, adapted by Nicholas Shakespeare from his own novel, based on the "Shining Path" movement that terrorized Peru in the 1980s. The plot unfolds in an unnamed Latin American capital, where a lawyer-turned-police detective named Rejas (Javier Bardem) leads an investigation to locate Ezequiel, a terrorist whose followers have left a trail of fear, death and destruction across the city. Rejas falls in... Regardless of its critical roasting, Dreamcatcher is a must-see for Stephen King fans. In adapting King's epic novel (itself an amalgam of familiar King plotlines), director Lawrence Kasdan and cowriter William Goldman sacrificed much of the character depth that gave the story its crucial humanity, resulting in a tame frightfest about four longtime friends (Damian Lewis, Jason Lee, Thomas Jane, Timothy Olyphant) whose past--and a shared gift of telepathy--connects them to a present-day alien invasion in the snowy forests of Maine. Like an ambitious episode of The X-Files, this slick production offers slimy "weasels" that gestate in human bowels; ominous aliens who seize control of bodies and minds; a secret military strike (led by Morgan Freeman) against the invaders; and...
