DVD It Takes Two
This first theatrical outing for the ubiquitous Olsen twins is their take on The Parent Trap meets The Prince and the Pauper. One plays a foster child under the care of a single social worker (Kirstie Alley) whose marital status prevents her from adopting her favorite charge. The other is the neglected daughter of a "bazillionaire" (Steve Guttenberg), who's about to marry a gold-digging socialite (played nastily by Jane Sibbett, Ross's first ex-wife on TV's Friends). The foster kid comes to a charity camp abutting the rich girl's summer estate and--presto--the identical strangers meet, hatch a plan to solve both their dilemmas, and switch identities. Directed by Andy Tennant (Ever After), this PG-rated film features some decent G-rated chemistry between Alley and Guttenberg and surprisingly uncloying performances by Mary-Kate and Ashley. The rating is for mild language. (Ages 5 and up) --Kimberly Heinrichs |

Review(s): DVD It Takes Two | |
I saw It Takes Two and I think it was a good movie and I agree with the reviewers who say it's like a combination of The Prince and the Pauper and The Parent Trap and is just a cute movie that the whole family can watch and Mary Kate Olson, Ashley Olson, Kirstie Alley and Steve Guttenberg are all good and I recommend this cute movie!

| Great Movie! Not for kids under 8. | |
This is a great movie. It is so good I watch it over and over. I am the Olsens #1 fan. And I am 10 years old. Kids under 8 wont understand. Mary-kate Olsen plays Amanda, the orphan. And Ashley Olsen plays Allisa, the tycoons (Steve Guttenberg) daughter. This movie is for Olsen and non-Olsen fans. If you are not an Olsen fan, YOU SHOULD BE! This movie shows how the two girls michieviously gets the two adults together when Roger (the tycoon) has another woman he is going to marry in a month. And how they got Roger to say "I cant." at the wedding with his date before he met Diane.
