DVD Dunston Checks In
High society gets a dose of monkey business in this family-friendly bit of simian slapstick. Less foul and more fun than Clyde from the Clint Eastwood comedies, Dunston is the practical-joking orangutan partner of foppish jewel thief Rupert Everett. Making his escape in a five-star New York hotel, Dunston lands in the protective care of 10-year-old Eric Lloyd, the high-spirited son of harried hotel manager Jason Alexander, and together they turn the snooty social event of the year into a zoo. Faye Dunaway is Alexander's overbearing boss just aching for a comic comeuppance, and Paul "Pee-wee Herman" Reubens dons a mauve tuxedo as Buck La Farge, animal-control specialist. Would you believe the monkey upstages them all? Though hardly the smartest comedy around, this is a cute, cuddly little barrel full of monkeyshines just made for the younger crowd. Rated PG for one (yelled) word. --Sean Axmaker
Good movie. But 5 STARS for AMAZING JENNIFER BASSEY!!!!!!
Usually I don't make such crappy reviews, but Jennifer Bassey's massage towel scene was so show stealing and sexy, I had to be biased! Wish I were the one touching her delicious body at the time.
Cute movie.
My 5 yr. old Grandson found this movie to be very entertaining.
I would recommend for this age group.
Only a mother or a certified baby-phile could love this John Hughes comedy (he wrote and coproduced it). Aside from that endorsement, the diaper starts to stink. Baby Bink is kidnapped by three inept crooks, but the child escapes from their hideaway, leading to a chase through the city. Bink's journey follows the story line of his favorite bedtime book, Baby's Day Out, and he goes to a zoo, a construction site, and a retirement center. Hughes is following his accountant's favorite bedtime tale, "Let's rewrite Home Alone again," but with very little of the humor or impact of that smash. A number of scenes center on the crushing or incineration of Joe Mantegna's groin, not exactly family-fare yuks. There are some moments of levity with the crooks and a gorilla. --Keith... A movie only a kid could love, which was the whole point. Harvey Keitel plays a small-time thief who performs as an organ grinder on the boardwalk at Venice Beach. His scam involves his monkey, which has been trained to pick pockets. Now a mob boss wants to borrow the monkey to pull off some big scores--but the monkey runs away and is adopted by a lonely little girl (Thora Birch). She finds herself in increasingly hot water when her new pet starts bringing her the valuables of everyone in the neighborhood. Birch is a natural young actress, while Keitel hams it up shamelessly (he reportedly made the film to amuse his young daughter). --Marshall FineMore Info about this DVD Actor(s): Harvey Keitel - Thora Birch Director(s): Franco Amurri DVD Release Date: Released the 03 September 2002 Usually ships in 24 hours

TONI WHITNEY HAD IT ALL, A FAMILY LOVE NO OTHER KID WOULD EVER DREAM ON HAVING ONLY TO HAVE IT INTERRUPTED BY A BABY SEAL LATER NAMED ANDRE.
THIS SEAL CHANGE THE LIVES OF THE WHOLE FAMILY, EVEN MANAGE TO CONFRONT JELOUSY AMONG THE FAMILY MEMEBER AND NEIGHBORS.
BUT IT ALSO MANAGE TO GIVE TONI THE UNDSTANDING ON HOW AN ANIMAL AS A SEAL COULD GIVE AND RECIVE LOVE FROM HUMAN AND NOT BE AFRAID ANY HUMAN MIGHT HURT THEM.
THIS IS A NICE MOVIE, ACTUALLY A FAMILY MOVIE AND IT ALSO TEACH US A MESSAGE. EVEN THE ENDING IS BREATH TAKING. DONT MISS YOU I KNOW I WONT.
I'm sorry to say that this movie was ruined by today's standard of decency. Its bad enough we can't protect our kids from the world but we really should be able to put in a pg movie and get good laughs not profanity and a complete lack of respect for the Lords house of worship. I was totally appauled with the actions in the church as if using the Lords name in vain was'nt enough. What happened to pg being 1 or 2 bad words and that was it. Todays standards are totally wrong. Years ago that would have been rated R. It would have been a terrific movie but they feel if there isn't a lot of cussing and bad manners no one will enjoy it, well they're dead wrong. Let's clean up the act for our future generation, after all what we put into the future is what we're going to get back. Feed kids... The Hank Ketcham comic strip about a mischievous boy named Dennis Mitchell (Mason Gamble) becomes a film directed by Nick Castle (The Last Starfighter) based on a weak script by John Hughes (The Breakfast Club). Gamble is fine and Walter Matthau is persuasive as the grouchy neighbor Mr. Wilson, but Hughes spoils everything by throwing in a formulaic subplot about a criminal (Christopher Lloyd) who doesn't know what he's getting into by abducting Dennis. Been there, done that. --Tom KeoghMore Info about this DVD Actor(s): Walter Matthau - Mason Gamble Director(s): Nick Castle DVD Release Date: Released the 28 January 2003 Usually ships in 24 hours
