    Review(s): DVD Guilty As Sin
    Good

So many people knocked this movie, but I really liked it. De Mornay and Johnson gave great performances in it, and the plot was suspenseful. Rebecca and Don are two of the best looking actors around, too. Together, they are terrific.

    GOOD SUSPENSE MOVIE

I LOVED THIS MOVIE SINCE I SAW IT IN THE THEATRE, SURE IT SOUNDS LIKE A BAD SCRIPT BUT DON JOHNSON PULLS OFF A GOOD BAD GUY PLAYING CAT AND MOUSE GAMES WITH HIS FEMAIL LAWYER. A MAN WHO IS ACCUSED OF KILLING HIS WIFE HIRES A YOUNG BEAUTIFUL LAWYER TO DEFEND HIM AND ADMITS TO HER IN HIS STRANGE WAY THAT HE DID IT AND IF SHE DOSENT GET HIM OFF SHE COULD END UP THE SAME WAY. I COULD SEE DON JOHNSON GETTING A BEST ACTOR AWARD FOR HIS PERFORMANCE. A+ ACTING THEIR. AND THATS WHAT MAKES QUILTY AS SIN A EXCELLENT MOVIE, NOT SO MUCH THE SCRIPT.

    Rebecca De Mornay-WOW!!!!!!!!!!

I think Rebecca De Mornay is a fantastic actress. In this movie she was the best I've ever seen her acting. Her Level of emotion and her talent was so passionate. I just wish she was in parts of this caliber more often.I wonder if Rebecca is'nt being offered the big parts anymore. It is the public's loss and the movie industries loss if thats the case.I haven't seen her in a memorable major role for a long time.

I saw her in the film "The Cradle Will Rock" years ago. That was a fabulous performance-but this part in "Guilty As Sin" was better. Her heart of kindness comes through and her fear of being taken advantage of by Don Johnson's character. Her strength in this movie is magnificent-emotionally and physically. Each time I've seen this movie I see it for the first time..because I see new levels of her character that I had'nt noticed before.

    Black Widow DVD

Theresa Russell seduces rich men by conforming to their dreams in terms of appearance and behaviour, marries them, and then kills them. She thinks her means are undetectable. But Justice Department investigator Debra Winger has noticed a pattern, and becomes obsessed with tracking Russell down. She follows her to Hawaii (where she is working on her latest target), befriends her, and the stage is set for a psychological chess game.

The idea is promising, but the execution is uninspired. There is too much time spent on pretty pictures of Hawaii, and the narrative lacks drive, eroticism or real suspense. We are told that the two characters are obsessed, but aren't properly shown that they are, or even why they are. Finally, the resolution is particularly unconvincing.

    Deceived DVD

I saw this at Movie Trading Company for $3.99 and on sale for $1.99. So I went on a big limd and bought it. I wasn't that suprised about it, it wasn't that good. Goldie Hawn did a pretty good job. The actor for the husband was a little pradictable. The ending was a suprise, but all in all a pretty good movie. More Info about this DVD

    Shattered DVD

Tom Berenger stars as an amnesiac who investigates his life before a car wreck took his memory, and finds that things were not all they should have been. The promising mystery gets less interesting as the script becomes more perfunctorily complicated, and a crucial plot twist toward the end throws the story onto a different track rather than letting the existing one grow richer through better characters. People don't count as much as surprises do in this film, so in that sense Shattered is a passable potboiler, no more and no less. Wolfgang Petersen (In the Line of Fire) capably directs, but even he can't work depth into the margins. Solid supporting performances from Greta Scacchi, Bob Hoskins, and Joanne Whalley-Kilmer. --Tom Keogh More Info about this DVD

    Never Talk to Strangers DVD

NEVER TALK TO STRANGERS is what is commonly referred to as an "erotic thriller", although it's eroticism is skimpy and the thrills don't come too often. Rebecca DeMornay (Risky Business, Trip to Bountiful) plays a repressed psychiatrist who is evaluating alleged serial killer Harry Dean Stanton to see if he should stand trial for his accused crimes. Stanton claims he is a multiple personality disorder victim and therefore can plead innocent due to insanity. DeMornay has a chance encounter with sexy Antonio Banderas and starts into a relationship with him. This alienates her best friend Dennis Miller who has been carrying a torch for DeMornay for some time. DeMornay starts receiving strange things in her mail: dead flowers, her dead cat, etc., etc., and soon it seems DeMornay may be... More Info about this DVD

In the Cut (Unrated and Uncut Director's Edition) DVD

Based on Susanna Moore's popular novel, In the Cut centers on Frannie (Meg Ryan), an emotionally stifled English teacher who gets steamy with sultry Malloy (Mark Ruffalo, You Can Count On Me), a cop who's investigating a series of brutal murders--but Frannie soon suspects that Malloy may be the killer. As a psychological thriller, In the Cut is heavier on psychology than thrills; the story is a skeleton that director Jane Campion (The Piano, An Angel at My Table) cloaks in one of the most nightmarish visions of urban life since Taxi Driver or Seven, accompanied by lots of explicit sex. The movie's dark tone will put some viewers off, but Ruffalo's effortless magnetism serves him well; no woman in the audience will question how quickly Ryan... More Info about this DVD
