Patrick Swayze is a goofball criminal who suddenly finds himself strapped with his two kids. His teenage daughter escapes from an abusive orphanage, demanding her father rescue her younger brother. Dad, who may be a thief, is also a softie who decides to rescue his kids by kidnapping them from a school bus. The plot is lackluster and reveals few surprises as Swayze tries to follow his life of crime, only to be thwarted by his needy children. Child abuse, parental abandonment, and crime do not exactly make for slapstick, and this is too leaden to thrill as an adventure flick. Swayze, with his annoying laugh and manic mannerisms, is less convincing than the kids (Sabrina Lloyd and Brian Bonsall), who exude realistic desperation and pain. --Rochelle O'Gorman
I seen this movie on saturday the 24 2002. This movie is soo good by the acting It's as pretty alot of action in this flick. patrick swayne play a good role with his kids. But the kids were driving him insane. This movie deathly need to come on dvd it would be a better picture and better sound. The dvd makers need to create a version of this movie fast hopefully it should come out this year or next year that will be will good if it come out between that time. When it come's out I'll will be happy.
How good the movie
I seen this movie on saturday the 24 2002. This movie is soo good by the acting. There's pretty alot of action in this flick and pretty funny too. patrick swanye play a good role with his kids. They deathly need a dvd version of this movie I want it soo bad it would be a better picture. They should been create this movie on dvd too bad it's not on dvd yet. maybe this year or next year to be on dvd cause the dvd makers need to bring this out fast it's a real good movie maybe someday i have on dvd when it come out I be real sice.

I saw this at Movie Trading Company for $3.99 and on sale for $1.99. So I went on a big limd and bought it. I wasn't that suprised about it, it wasn't that good. Goldie Hawn did a pretty good job. The actor for the husband was a little pradictable. The ending was a suprise, but all in all a pretty good movie. With the title Shoot to Kill -- I was waiting for Jonathan Knox to pull out his rifle [like in Sniper] but ah well.
FBI agent Warren Stantin [Poitier] had the obnoxious attitude that went with twenty years on the force, believing he could keep up and survive in the wilderness with Knox.
The lead up to our villian's disappearence into the wilderness was quite excellent. His evasion tactics were unpredictable. [I didn't see it coming].
I could see Sarah becoming his hostage and she did a good job of trekking through the mountain byways to a highway.
Still had to hold my breath for her safety.

I don't know why, but I just loved this movie. Patricia is so charming(as usual). I'm definitely a fan of her. I liked how it was tied into the Amish community. The boy was so perfect. If he were older he'd be the perfect guy. The film had action, suspense, a moral, pretty gal, romance, and it was surprisingly engrossing . I liked the conflicts. It was fun to see how putting different types of people in different situations would work.
