Want Sci-Fi action and adventure? Want a plot about companies messing with your mind? Wamt facsinating scenes of Mars? Well you'll find it all here, and all taken directly from Total Recall, but this movie isn't as good as it's namesake.
Yeah, all five sconds of the scenery on Mars is borrowed directly from Arnolds action packed adventure. What's more, after seeing the mysterious VTOL looking craft (Same as in TOTAL RECALL) go into a bunker, you get to see inside the bunker, where our passenger disembark from what looks like a Mercury landing capsule!
OK, other intersting point, there was no reason whatsoeever for the movie to have set that scene on Mars. It could just as well have happened in Nevada, or Brazil, or even downtown London.
This was a very interesting film. It's about a psycho director shooting a murder movie where the people actually get killed! The people are killed in famous Hollywood death scenes such as the shower scene from Psycho and the chainsaw scene from Scarface. Grisly. Kathleen Kinmont was awesome in this! It also stars Sarah Douglas from Puppet Master 3. See Psycho and Scarface before you see it. If you liked it see C.i.a. :codename Alexa, which also stars Kathleen Kinmont. At its worst, it's a so-so soap opera held together by fascinating bits of historical trivia, giving equal time to the issues of the era (the Equal Rights Amendment, the oil crisis) and inescapable bits of pop culture (Mary Tyler Moore and the hustle). The characters are pretty obviously engineered to plumb every angle of the decade's cultural topography: the young black National Guardmember who deserts to Los Angeles in time to join the Black Panthers and open a cinema featuring hits like... Season 2 of this show had large changes away from the all too noticeable X-Men look in season one. It pretty much became Adam and his team of young mutants helping different people fight crime and gangsters every week, It was not much of a premise to go on, and the rateings continued to slide every week, by the end of season two, the final show saw two characters die off screen (Adam and Emma) while the other three hit the road for parts unknown. By this time, Marvel and it;'s TV partners had a falling out and went to court, thuis making season three the last for this series, and that was just as well, because it was never anything special to start with.
