The ever-underrated director Robert M. Young (Dominick and Eugene) made this tense variation on The Postman Always Rings Twice. Edward James Olmos and Maria Conchita Alonso star as a long-married couple who run a fish store. When a young drifter (Arie Verveen) enters their lives as an employee and inhabitant of their home, he and Alonso commence an affair made all the more dangerous when the couple's creepy son (Steven Schub) moves back in. The ensuing Oedipal competitiveness grows to an explosive finale, and while the mythic underpinnings of the story may be a bit obvious, the film moves as fluidly and is as involving as any of Young's fine work. Lots of suspense, a richly noiresque tone, and terrific acting on everyone's part, particularly Schub. --Tom Keogh

    Review(s): DVD Caught
    Well-paced and intriguing!

This movie is sensual and provocative. Edward James Olmos, Maria Conchita Alonso, Arie Verveen and Steven Schub give excellent performances. The director did an excellent job of creating tension that spilled out into the audience. My gut was churning to see what would happen next. I noticed Arie Verveen got a good role in the Thin Red Line film. I recognized his voice during one of the narration sequences. I hope he continues to get good roles. I would love to see E.J. Olmos and Maria Conchita Alonso again in a film together.

    Intriguing, Sensual Film.

Caught is a film with excellent examples of lost dreams and sexual tension. A drifter finds his way into a married couple's life having impact on both the husband and wife. I enjoyed watching this movie knowing the direction it was taking me and then having some unexpected events occur to alter it. This movie is very well acted with an excellent soundtrack (trumpet)as well. Edward James Olmos and Maria Conchita Alonzo should act again together soon. It would be beneficial for us all.

Great flick that no one has seen!!! Add to your library!!!!

This movie is WELL worth adding to your video library.

It is one of those you can put on that no one has seen and is a great movie.

Caught and The Fenwicks , , can you beat it?

    Swimming Pool (Unrated Version) DVD

In terms of alluring female nudity, Swimming Pool shows a lot, but it's what remains concealed that gives this erotic thriller a potent, voyeuristic charge. With his Hitchcockian handling of secrets and lies, prolific French director François Ozon reunites with his Under the Sand star, Charlotte Rampling, to tell a seductive tale of murder and complicity, beginning when British mystery novelist Sarah Morton (Rampling) seeks peace and relaxation at her publisher's French villa, only to find his brash, sexually liberated daughter Julie (Ludivine Sagnier) arriving shortly thereafter to disrupt her solitary reverie. What begins as mutual annoyance turns into something more sinister and duplicitous, alternating between Julie's predatory sex with men and Sarah's observant,... More Info about this DVD

In the Cut (Unrated and Uncut Director's Edition) DVD

Based on Susanna Moore's popular novel, In the Cut centers on Frannie (Meg Ryan), an emotionally stifled English teacher who gets steamy with sultry Malloy (Mark Ruffalo, You Can Count On Me), a cop who's investigating a series of brutal murders--but Frannie soon suspects that Malloy may be the killer. As a psychological thriller, In the Cut is heavier on psychology than thrills; the story is a skeleton that director Jane Campion (The Piano, An Angel at My Table) cloaks in one of the most nightmarish visions of urban life since Taxi Driver or Seven, accompanied by lots of explicit sex. The movie's dark tone will put some viewers off, but Ruffalo's effortless magnetism serves him well; no woman in the audience will question how quickly Ryan... More Info about this DVD

    Blackheart DVD

I just seen this movie and it plays out like a B type movie it has its moments. Being a big jumpstreet 21 fan, i do like Greigo and this might be his best featured role but then again, that is not saying much since his feature roles are so so, if u can call it feature. Anyway, this movie has suspense, and a overuse plot of playing the con game and double cross. There are better played and acted movie of the same subject than this piece because some of the acting is unbelieveable and i hate movies where the victim, played by fiona loewi as Laura has no backbone at all. I mean when she got out of that hiding spot cuz she didnt want Greigo to get shot, well he got shot and she just stand there watching it and whimping like a baby...then she run back into her hiding place. Well, couldnt she... More Info about this DVD

Dancing At The Blue Iguana DVD

i watched this film twice today, which is always what happens when a film touches me; i immediately want to watch it again. and i got to this site because i was looking for the ost, but anway, here's what i thought; the acting was perfection, the story a beautiful observation, the dancing seductive and melancholic and overall the film gave a very real potrayal of the difficult choices many women make for themselves, their consequences, and how they deal with these choices in light of both mudane everyday reality and the hyper reality of nightlife. i laughed, cried and all that stuff. then i watched all the dvd extras. and then i watched it all again. it was well worth the guy in the video shop giving me a funny look at the checkout. any girl whose ever daydreamed about stripping (you...
