The Power Rangers 1st movie was extremely popular. So were the first four seasons of the show, but this movie was unfortunately the beginning of the end for the show's popularity. The only thing I ever saw wrong with the Turbo Rangers was Justin. The idea of having an eleven year old for a ranger was just to off. Divatox was actually a good character to add. She was annoying and pushy just like Rita. The plot of this movie was good, but sadly short. What makes this movie really good is that unlike the first movie which had nothing to do with the series this movie actually blends in with the show. However in the end it didn't matter because after the show continued once the movie came out the show went down hill. The show amazingly still went on spanning off six more whole seasons and are now releasing a seventh, but the overall popularity of the show is nothing compared to what it used to be. Amazingly enough kids still watch the show. So now your probably thinking sense this movie was the start of the show's downfall it must suck. Wrong! The main reason why the movie failed is because many people in my generation were growing out of the show, in other words started saying, "The show is for kids." However hardcore fans like myself have stuck with the show till this day. I'm sure if the creators of the show decide or should I say dare bring out a third movie it'll probably do awful at the box office like this movie and I'll admit it's kind of hard for some people to stick with the show seeing how the show gets a whole new cast every year, but if you just like the overall theme of the show (Kids or in some cases young adults saving the world) then I say you'll like this movie. If like me you bought the video buy the DVD because I'm sure it's bound to wear out eventually.
Chosen by fans, the five Power Rangers episodes on this disc are a cross-section of major events from the long-running series. (Dear to the hearts of PR faithful is remembering the succession of actors and characters who have donned Ranger costumes at different times. This anthology helps.) "White Light Parts 1 & 2," from season two, finds Lord Zedd unleashing the very strange Scarlet Sentinel, and the Rangers in nervous anticipation of their new leader, the unidentified White Ranger. "Countdown to Destruction Parts 1 & 2" would probably impress Roger Corman with its budget-conscious but slick mix of stock footage, computer effects, and rapid cutting in the story of the Rangers' near-defeat battling an invasion of Earth. Another nostalgic favorite, "Wild Force: Forever Red,"... More Info about this DVD Director(s): Jerry P. Of the five (so far) Ninja Storm DVDs, this is my favorite. Although it wasn't hard to put two-and-two together (I wonder who those pesky Thunder Rangers are...) but it was entertaining. This and Lightening Strikers are must haves for the Ninja Storm fan. Of the 5 (so far) available Ninja Storm DVDs, this isn't my favorite. But I'm such a Hunter/Blake fan, that I can't be unbiased. Good Will Hunter was the best from the episodes, with All About Beevil coming in close 2nd. I just wasn't a fan of Scent of a Ranger, but CyberCam was amusing. The DVD is a must for Ninja Storm fans, but Looming Thunder and Lightening Strikers were my favorites. I've been a huge fan of Dino thunder, especially of Jason Frank "aka tommy" ever since he appeared in the original MMPR! My son loves the series and aside from what a certain reviewer thinks it great fun and plenty of people watch them still! Thats why people know so much about it and thats why Jason Frank has such a huge fan (check out the official site, the shows bigger then anyone can imagine and rakes in cash) base from not just kids but they're parents as well. Keep them coming!
