    Review(s): DVD Scarecrow Slayer
One of the WORST "horror" films in history....Really bad.

This direct-to-video garbage centers around a scarecrow that takes over a college boy's soul and turns him into a killer. This is about as bad as it gets. The actors do their best. The lighting is good. The script is ok. The only person I can blame is the director and producer. As I watched this, I kept thinking "How could you make a movie this bad? Even accidentally?". A first year film student with an IQ of 10 could produce something more watchable than this. I love cheesy horror, but this is by far THE worst movie I've seen in 2 years! Give me 500 dollars and a crew that works for free and I could create a film 1,000 times more watchable.

    scarcrow slayer

Scarecrow Slayer is an abomination of a movie. This concerning (Mary) chasing whole movies by the scarecrow. Acting, it looks similar to college student. It was likely jeepers creeper and but more realistic than scarecrow. There performed was terrible, it felt like there be no director at all. The scarecrow then goes around killing people. There are no straight points in this movie.

save your money for something worth while!

ok, there is 4 main charchters. the main guy wants to join some stupid ferternity club, so he has to go still a scarecrow. the farmer catches him, goes to shoot at the scarecrow because its coming to life and misses and hits the boy. the boys soul goes into the scarecrow and he becomes this psychotic scarecrow killing everbody except his girlfriend and his guy friend. anyways i got almost to the end but was so bored i turned the dumb show off and went and did something else. the whole scarecrow idea sounded really cool to me but this movie blows! the only reason i gave this pathetic excuse of a movie 2 stars is because it has some really cool/gory killings! this movie isn't cheesy, scary, or funny....just stupid! the only reason its rated R is for Horror (which is a load of bull), violence/gore, and language.

I think there have been a handful of these death-animated slasher-scarecrow movies, all of which seem to come complete with a whole mass of acting and continuity problems. This one is no exception. As far as shooting, casting and special effects went, this movie reminded me of Bloody Murder 2, and it even had this chick from Bloody Murder 2. There are a scatter of hot-looking girls, which is cool. And another good thing is that, in this movie, you look forward to seeing just about everyone die.

There's this skinny high school kid that's constantly getting picked on by all of the nancy-boy bullies; this part of the movie is familiar enough. But they went overboard. The ridicule is just a little over the top, complete with a teacher that calls the kid white trash in front of a whole... More Info about this DVD

    Mimic 3 - Sentinel DVD

The lack of money shows especially on the 'street scenes'. They're always in the same spot in the middle of the 2 or 3 buildings where all the characters live, in 'the rear window' style. This is OK given the plot's nature, the problem is there are almost no extras and no sound effects of city life either, it's like a post-apocalyptic movie where half the population are dead. The main character's room is under-produced too.
Otherwise it's quite entertaining. Strangely, the movie succeeds to hold your interest during the more subdued first and second act, but falls apart in the last act, when all the action and special effects start kicking in. I think this part was ackwardly edited and isn't very effective.
The dvd has a good widescreen anamorphic transfer, and the cast's audition... More Info about this DVD

    Deep Shock DVD

First of, I completely agree with the other reviews for this movie.
My five year old insisted on renting this movie, because he was hoping to see those "scary sea creatures". He was totally disappointed, as was I with the movie quality. Most computer-generated special effects were too much like a video game clips, Movie plot was silly. The worst thing was the sound quality. Music was way too loud comparing to the dialogs' sound. Actors mumbled a lot, when I tried turning the "subtitles" on to understand what they were saying, I found out that there was no option for it. Basically I missed half of the conversations. The Bone Snatcher DVD

Kept me guessing, at least once the movie gets going. Some interesting character set up in the first 20 minutes or so and from then on a mix of mood, style, action and suspense with careful and very effective use of CG effects at different key points in the film. I've never seen a film set in the Namibian desert before and actually I hope I do again because this thing was gorgeous. Once or twice the writing felt a little tired but overall I've got no complaints. In fact I'd reccomend this film to anyone who likes to be scared for a couple of hours and wants to see some serious style as well. Plus some great music from a couple of Brit composers. Leprechaun - Back 2 Tha Hood DVD

I am one of the people who love the Leprechaun movies(some people hate them). But they do have a fan bases and I actually think Leprechaun Back 2 tha Hood is the best in the series. But I haven't seen Leprechaun 1 and 4. So it is the best of the series so far. It probably still will be the best after I watch 1 and 4. The reason I didn't see those ones is because my movie store only has Leprechaun 2,3,5,6. Leprechaun 6 is also really funny. Which anyone who has ever watched a Leprechaun movie knows they are comical I couldn't stop laughing half the time. I think Leprechaun fans will love this movie and people who didn't like Leprechaun in the Hood should give this a chance and watch, because they are very different movies. I wasn't very pleased with Leprechaun in the Hood myself... More Info about this DVD
