    Mary Christmas DVD

This was a very good movie but there are too many questions left unanswered at the end. In fact, the last two minutes go by so fast you have to look quick to see what is happening. They were not done very well either. It's like being served a big juicy steak and then forced to swallow it whole.

In Mr Schneider's commentary he says "The purpose of the movie is to raise questions, then answer them at the end". What happened? Was he late for dinner or did he run out of film?

All the wishes were granted and there were no "bad guys" but why didn't the director add a few minutes to answer some of the many questions left unanswered. To me, we were cheated out of a complete ending.

Did Mary go home on Christmas eve? What were the conservations after the... More Info about this DVD

    Santa and Pete DVD

I first saw the Christmas movie Santa ad Pete last December of 2004 and I liked it. I have heard that this was based on a Dutch book though I have never read the book. The movie is about Saint Nicholas (Santa Claus) and is African friend Pete who helps him give out gifts. This is a good Christmas movie and I'm glad it's on DVD. BTW: If you liked this movie Santa and Pete also check out the movie Off Season in which Hume Cronyn also plays Sana Claus. More Info about this DVD

I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus DVD

Santa movies can't help straining credulity--they're about Santa. Where some succeed in making us wish we were 6 years old again, though, I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus only makes us wish we were stupider. That way, we'd be able to buy its premise, which is about as shatterproof as a bag of last year's candy canes. Eight-year-old Justin is in the running for a spot at the top of Santa's nice list as the holiday season roars in. He's a model student, sweet natured, and, unlike his buddy Bobby, impeccably mannered. What is he to make of a smooch-filled encounter between his mom and a red-suited fellow whose lips are more traditionally associated with bellowing ho, ho, ho, though? If he were an ingenuous lad, which is what we're led to believe, he'd ask. Instead, he... More Info about this DVD
