Review(s): DVD Stamp Art Inspirations with MaryJo McGraw | |
| Marvelous Maryjo | |
as per the norm, anything maryjo mcgraw puts her hands onto becomes a wonderfully eclectic piece of art!
with all of her books one sometimes wonders, how does she do that? this dvd de-mystifies maryjo's artwork and very clever use of materials and colors. as a viewer, you are able to follow along with her lessons and produce your own works of stamp art that are compatible with the professional that maryjo is. i highly recommend this dvd to anyone new or not to the rubberstamping/paper arts arena.
i can't wait for the next dvd to come out!

| A must-have for any rubber stamper | |
MaryJo starts out by showing some basic techniques...how to re-ink a stamp pad, how to ink a stamp, etc. She then eases us into stuff that looks complicated at first, but once she shows you how to do it, it is really all very easy!
Her explanations are very clear, and you can always see exactly what she is doing as she explains it.
I have several of MaryJo's books, but I find it easier to learn a new technique by actually watching it being done. Someday, I hope to take a class with MaryJo, but until then, this DVD is a close second. It is well worth the money!

| Hoping for more stamping DVDs like this... | |
This was great, especially if you need to have your stamping classes at home. Mary Jo's presentations have a lot of clarity and a very relaxed approach to creativity. Since I rarely get to see people actually doing techniques, I really enjoyed watching the processes happening in such detail since it was longer than the videos I've seen. The DVD format gives a lot of flexibility in viewing and Mary Jo has a friendly presence as she provides numerous tips along with the project at hand. I hope Page Sage will produce more in this line of product.
