  • DVD Cardcaptor Sakura - Revelations (Vol. 18)

As this charming fantasy-adventure concludes, Sakura uses the Return Card to visit the great sorcerer Clow Reed in the past. In his oblique way, Reed explains that he created Cards, Kero, and Yue, and planned for Sakura to become their master to ensure their happiness after his death. Before she can fulfill that role, Sakura must defeat Eriol in a test that demands all her resources--and the help of Kero, Yue, and Shaoran Li. Even Reed couldn't foresee the entire future: he expected Sakura and Yue/Yuki would fall in love with each other, rather than Shaoran Li and Toya. Although Sakura's feelings for Shaoran aren't resolved until the second feature, everything ends happily. Given the runaway popularity of the series, arguably the best work the Clamp Studio has produced, additional adventures for Sakura and her friends may be in the works. (Rated 13 and older: minor cartoon violence) --Charles Solomon

Review(s): DVD Cardcaptor Sakura - Revelations (Vol. 18)
    Eriol was actually...Clow Reed

If you bought CCS videos 1-17 and maybe even got the CCS 1st movie, dont stop now, because Sakura has her last fight with Shoaron, Tomoyo, and the rest!

Sakura captures and transforms the cards into Sakura cards as now the final showdown which is called "Relevations". Sakura, Yue, Cerberoes, and Shoaron has to stop Eriol from turning the sun to the moon. Why is this so important? If they dont, everybody will sleep forever, Sakura wont be proven as the essential cardcaptor, the deeps and thougths lingers in her, theres a way to do this...

CCS fans; I have an announcment to make, all of you might of heard but this might be the last CCS video but theres still a chance of Sakura telling her true feelings on CCS the movie 2 on DVD right now!

    Cardcaptor Sakura Relevations-- RELEASE!

    Excellent

It should go without saying that this was a great ending to a great series. To be honest, I don't see much point in reviews for the final volume of such a long series... if you've made it this far, what's the chance you're not going to buy the last DVD?

The main point of this review is to clarify something another reviewer said. Yes, it's true that if you go to Ebay you can get the whole series for a much lower price, but those will be bootleg DVDs. If you buy them you will not be supporting the creators of the series, also also the bootlegs are likely to have various video and subtitle issues.

    An AwEsOmE CCS DVD!!!!

omg....i loved this volume. I personally think it's the best! I would definatly recomend this to others becuase it's so sweet. I won't tell you too much just the main facts. In the 1st episode, Sakura wonders why every time somwthing strange happens...she feels Mr. Clow's presence and her self-esteem is pretty low since she always compares herself to Clow Reed and thinks she's not worthy of being the new "master". So, she decides to return to the past and visit Clow. (Clow Reed is so cool looking and i luv the way that he speaks in riddles.) In the 2nd episode.....the "gang" knows who've been causing all the mess....Eriol, and he explains why he did all this stuff (in the end)...but b4 he explained y he created all the chaos, he put a spell on every1 to fall asleep b/c he covered the whole earth darkness. Will sakura have enough time to find out how to break this evil spell???...and will Li finally tell Sakura how he feels?? and if so...will Sakura have enough time and courage to reply to him??? This is a great volume...and i'm pretty sure every1 who sees this will have as much fun as i did watching this. I can't believe this series is over...~~ ^_^ be sure to tune in for the "Sealed Card" CCS..movie 2!!! It's also awesome!!

Personal relationships play out against the backdrop of the imminent confrontation between Sakura and her friends and Eriol and his allies. Yukito continues to fade as his power wanes. Toya sacrifices his formidable magical powers, which have enabled him to protect Sakura and commune with the spirit of their dead mother, to save Yukito. Brushing aside Yukito's regrets, Toya says, "As long as you're at my side, I don't care for anything else." When Sakura tells Yukito about her crush on him, he gently explains that he already has a "Number One Person" in his life and that her feelings for him are really more familial than romantic. Sakura accepts his explanation, and is consoled by the tongue-tied Shaoran Li. These emotional shifts have been set in motion by Eriol, who continues... More Info about this DVD

Cardcaptor Sakura - Friends in Need (Vol. 16) DVD

Frustration reigns as this popular series nears its finale: Shaoran Li wants to tell Sakura he likes her, but can't find the words--and people keep interupting while he mumbles. Yukito's ominous prediction seems to be coming true: because he can only reflect the magic of others, he's fading. Sakura's powers aren't growing fast enough to sustain him. Whenever Toya tries to talk to him, Nakuru barges in. Eriol alternates between his benign and baleful personalities, spinning an ever-tightening web, but events suggest that Toya may be the key to the story. He recognizes the double Sakura conjures with the Mirror Card, and Kero is convinced he knows all about the magical goings-on. Although the tone of the series darkened during the third season, Sakura remains an engaging... More Info about this DVD

Cardcaptor Sakura - Realizations (Vol. 15) DVD

Hot-tempered Shaoran Li discovers how much he likes Sakura--a painful realization for any adolescent boy. Tomoyo offers some pointed advice about expressing his feelings, which only increases his embarrassment. Sakura's power grows as she uses the enchanted Clow Cards. She needs to use them often: Eriol Hiiragizawa, who may be the reincarnation of the wizard Clow Reed, continues to meddle with people's lives. In "Double Trouble," he prevents Yue and Keroberous from assuming their familiar forms as Yukito and Kero-chan--until Sakura discovers how to block his spell. Eriol seems to command extraordinary powers, but he's worried about Sakura's older brother Toya, whose psychic/magical abilities have only been suggested. Cardcaptor Sakura Collection (Vol. 1-15) - Amazon.com Exclusive DVD

An imaginative mixture of adventure, charm, and emotional warmth made Cardcaptor Sakura a big hit in both Japan and America. In contrast to the one-note and often bratty girls in American animation, ten-year-old Sakura Kinomoto is a good-natured but never saccharine character who learns and grows from her magical experiences. A cheerful 4th grader, she lives with her older brother Toya and her widowed father, a professor of archeology. Sakura dislikes math and Toya's teasing, and nurtures a crush on his friend Yukito. When she opens a mysterious book in her father's study, glowing forms fly into the night. Kero, the winged, toy-like creature from the book's cover, explains that she has released the magical cards created by the sorcerer, Clow Reed. Despite her protests,... More Info about this DVD

Cardcaptor Sakura - Powers Awry (Vol. 14) DVD

The seemingly benign but sinister exchange student Eriol continues to cause trouble for Sakura and her friends. Using the enchanted Cards taxes her powers, leaving her constantly sleepy. Yue confides to Kero that he fears he may vanish: as the embodiment of the moon, he can only reflect the magic of others (Kero, the sun, commands greater resources). Toya, whose powers seem to be growing, tries to talk with Yukito, but the loudmouthed Nakuru always interrupts them. In episode 55, Sakura finds herself trapped inside an illustrated edition of Alice in Wonderland--as Alice! Yukito becomes the White Rabbit; Toya, the Mad Hatter; Shaoran Li, Tweedledum and Tweedledee; and Eriol, a smug Cheshire Cat. It's a clever parody that treats Lewis Carroll's world respectfully while... More Info about this DVD
