Review(s): DVD Lizzie McGuire - Growing Up Lizzie (TV Series, Vol. 2)
Great Show, But we need a Season 2 set
I'm 21 and I still love this show. I think it is a lot more intellegent than a lot of other shows geared towards teens these days. The reviewer who made the comment about the blonde girl always getting the cute guy, obviously they haven't even watched the series. Lizzie's central theme is about friendship and family, NOT about getting the guy. In fact, Lizzie never "gets the guy", so to speak. And the main male character in the show isn't the "cute" one. He's the nerdy, smart one. Lizzie is also not the popular girl, her and her friends get a lot of grief from the popular crowd, and this show has much better character development and depth to it than any other Disney "teen" series I have seen.
Lizzie Mcguire is fine!
I just want to say that some people think that Lizzie Mcguire isn't for people under thirteen, and that's not true! It is mostly for those pre-teen girls. It's not really for guys, or girls under the age of ten, but not because there's something bad about it, it's just that there's this episode about Lizzie getting a bra, and about five or six episodes where she has a crush on somebody. I don't recommend it for boys of any age though.

Meanwhile, Lizzie's brother Matt becomes a prisoner of his own instant fame. Lizzie takes being a role model a bit too far in the third episode and almost... This is an awesome boxed set of the first 22(!) episodes of the hit Lizzie McGuire tv series! None of the episodes are bad, all of them are enjoyable and will make you laugh! The greatest episodes include "Picture Day", "Night of the Day of the Dead", "Rated Arrgh!", "Lizzie Strikes Out", and "I Do, I Don't." All the other episodes are awesome also! These episodes had a lot of special guest stars like Aaron Carter, David Carridane, Phil Lewis, Orlando Brown, Kayla Pratt, and Craig Anton (or Antonan, whatever, the dad in Phil of the Future). Each of the cast members pulls off their character fantastically! Matt, Lanny, and Melina make me laugh, I want to hurt Kate, and Lizzie and Miranda and Gordo and Ethan have great roles and real funny lines! I love the laughs when the parents try to... The Lizzie McGuire Movie spins around the axis of Disney Channel starlet Hilary Duff, whose glossy good looks and rather mature figure are balanced by a sweetly bashful persona and an endearing klutziness. On a school trip to Rome, Lizzie is discovered to be the virtual twin of an Italian pop star named Isabella--and her dreamy former partner wants Lizzie to take Isabella's place at an award show to avoid a lawsuit. Only Lizzie's loyal best friend Gordo (Adam Lamberg) suspects that Paolo may not be all that he seems. The Lizzie McGuire Movie is competent fluff, but the most fun to be had actually comes from Lizzie's pesky little brother (Jake Thomas) and his Machiavellian friend Melina (Carly Schroeder), who plot to humiliate Lizzie for fun and personal gain.
