The movie was excellent, I've seen it before but it's a classic that I could watch once a week. The quality was good since it's a DVD and delivery was faster than I thought it would be.

Ridiculously, Ford Fairlane: Rock 'n' Roll Detective was panned by critics and awarded a slew of "Razzies" - for worst film, worst script, worst actor and so on - on its release in 1990. This says a great deal more about the "academy" who voted on the Razzies than it does about this movie, which is, quite simply, a beauty. It's not PC, sure; but it's so un-PC as to be completely harmless.
It is also well edited, well paced, well scripted (few movies are as quoteable), Clay is terrific as the lead, there's real chemistry between Clay and girl friday Lauren Holly, and any film with Al Bundy in it gets an extra star. And did I mention it was funny?
Boy is it funny.
Right up there with So I Married an Axe Murderer and Airplane, in this reviewer's humble opinion.

You sent me a different movie. Instead of The Adventures Of Ford Fairlane, I got Stardust Memories with WOODY ALLEN!! urg! I'm never buying anything from Amazon ever again! Now I have to go all the way to the post office to return it. It's everything BUT convenient which is why I wanted to use Amazon in the first place... Zero stars and zero more purchases from me!!
If you've never seen Andrew Dice Clay before and are thinking about buying this DVD, think no more, you should buy it!!! Dice has a way of making everybody laugh with his weird motions, his funny voice/accent, the cigarette constantly in his mouth, and his choice of words. Andrew "Dice" Clay (né Andrew Silverstein) in one of his best appearances. Even better than the hilarious Dice Rules! However he claims to make fun of everybody cursing spics, japs, chinks midgets, handicapped etc. Still I have yet to hear a kike joke from him.

I'm a long-time Dice fan and especially like his earlier stuff. This show is pretty early in his career and I busted up at material that was new to me. I've seen him in concert 3 times, 2 big venues and once in Vegas. This dvd reminded me of the Vegas show, small venue w/ comedy room atmosphere. Get this dvd you won't be disappointed.
