Casual U2 fan here...topnotch concert DVD

This is simply one of the best visual, aural, cinemagraphic concert DVD's I've ever seen. Extremely pleased with purchase, especially <$10. A steal; don't think twice.

    I Love This DVD

I purchased the jewel cased Slane Castle concert and it one of the finest rock music DVD's I have ever seen. Pretty much all of U2's finest is on this recording and the recording quality is excellent. U2's a great live band and this recording captures their magic. As far as the political statements, I would say that they are minimal. I watch this DVD frequently and I enjoy it every time I watch it!

Good preformance, U2 getting to much of the mainstream.

This DVD live at slane castle is marred by unpleasant "All that you can't leave behind" tracks, which is where U2 have started to become a failure, and very predictable.
Especially with this how to dismantle an atomic bomb album, and vertigo tour.

It would of been nicer to of seen a setlist containing more of their proper tunes.

Bad? Stay? Electric Co.? Still have'nt found? Desire? Exit? Mofo?, c'mon!!! Why ditch it so you can "reconnect with your audience??!!" thats not music!! Lots of people like POP!!

U2 - Rattle and Hum DVD

Rattle and Hum is not a film for anyone looking for an introduction to Irish band U2's career in the 1980s, but it is a vibrant portrait of an established group making its musical pilgrimage through the America it has always imagined through blues, gospel, and early rock 'n' roll. Filmmaker Phil Joanou (Heaven's Prisoners), a veteran music-video director and maker of the distractingly kinetic Three O'Clock High, finds a suitable outlet for his high energy in this juggernaut of a journey, which finds U2 collaborating with a black gospel choir and B.B. King, recording inside the legendary Sun Records studio, dropping by Graceland, and in a moment of fearlessness, performing the Beatles' "Helter Skelter" to exorcise Charles Manson's sick claim on the song. --Tom... U2 - Elevation Tour 2001 - Live from Boston DVD

After the huge, lavish spectacles of previous tours, U2 decided to tone things down a bit for Elevation, which accompanied their All That You Can't Leave Behind album. Just as the album marked a return to a simpler more stripped-down sound, the live shows returned to smaller venues and a more intimate show, and from start to finish Elevation provides a welcome reminder of what a great band this is. Recorded in Boston, the show features a healthy mix of new and old songs, which were written over the course of two decades but sound as fresh and relevant as ever. From classics like "Sunday Bloody Sunday," "Where the Streets Have No Name," and "I Will Follow" right up to instant favorites such as "Beautiful Day" and "Elevation," every track is stunningly... U2 - Best of 1990-2000 DVD

Undoubtedly the worst 'Best Of' DVD ever made, even if someone gives this DVD as a gift you should punch that person in the face...after watching this DVD I felt like burning down the company that made this DVD . If you want to play a practical joke on someone then might as well give this DVD to him as a gift.

There might be emotional reasons why there were some positive reviews of this horror, but it can't be for the actual DVD. There aren't words to describe how bad it looks and sounds. Shame on the band for putting this out. Obviously all them cares about is getting the money and run with a 'Best Of' on DVD.

This item should be removed from the shelves for poor quality in picture. My taped videos on VHS from MTV and VH1 sound and look better than these... More Info about this DVD

Coldplay - Live 2003 (DVD & CD) DVD

Riding high on the phenomenal success of A Rush of Blood to the Head, Coldplay is in peak form on Coldplay Live 2003. This CD/DVD two-pack was filmed (on Super-16mm film) and recorded in Sydney's Horden Pavilion on July 21 and 22, 2003, during an exhaustive year-long world tour, and the medium-sized arena provides a fitting stage for the London-based rock quartet, not so grand as to overwhelm the music, but large enough to indicate their large and loyal following, which includes enthusiastic fans of either gender. Especially when played in DTS 5.1 surround, this 90-minute concert is richer, thicker, and (of course) louder than Coldplay's studio recordings, lending a wall-of-sound expansiveness to the band's signature sound, which draws from such diverse influences as...
