Review(s): DVD Out of the Blue - The Definitive Investigation of the UFO Phenomenon
    Great DVD

1st off, I would like to start by saying that there were 2 people that gave this DVD a bad rating, one was 2 stars and the other 1 star. Both had no viable reason to do this, seeing as one had issues with there own equipment im sure and the other didnt even see this dvd. Please, disregard there posts completely, thanks.

2nd, I bought this DVD on july 9th, 2005, and I recieved it on Nov 4th, 2005. It was back ordered for quite some time. But do not let that discourage you from waiting if you have to, its well worth the wait.

Now, on to the DVD. This was hands down the best UFO documentary I found to date. I own 37 UFO documentary DVDs/VHSs, and bought over 50 of them, tossing the ones that treated the subject matter as a joke. This was so well done and handed all the information over to you in such a neutral way, that it let you decide what was real and what wasnt. If your into UFOs or want to know more about whats going on out there with them, this is the DVD to get.

I hope another one is made by the same man someday.

Poor technical quality flaws possibly great documentary

The replacement DVD I received had the same problem the first DVD I bought: out-of-sync sound track. This documentary could be a real jewel, especially because of the Peter Coyote narration, if the sound track problem gets corrected.

    I love UFOs!

I find videos like this highly entertaining. This is probably the best of all the UFO videos I have seen. Although I do not believe aliens crashed at Roswell, and I don't believe the government is reverse-engineering extraterrestrial flying saucers, and I don't believe the abduction stories, I find the subject matter to be very interesting. This is probably the most compelling video on the subject; but until I see a crashed saucer or an alien corpse, I will remain in the skeptic camp.

Close Encounters: Proof of Alien Contact DVD

There is so much real footage in this, it blows most video's of the kind away. There are many, many photographs, and a wonderfully large amount of video footage. I highly recommend this to the serious researcher or the hobbyist alike. (Even if just curious) More Info about this DVD

OZ Encounters: UFOs in Australia DVD

I've seen a lot of UFO doccos, and read a lot of UFO books. Most of my knowledge of the topic comes from these sources... not films. And I can tell you, this is a *really good* UFO docco.

What sets this apart from other UFO doccos are 2 things...

1- It's about UFO and alien encounters only in Australia
2- It has way cool 3D graphic effects as representations of the "encounters".

It's a fresh take seeing 3d graphics telling the story of an alien encounter rather than just watching somebody tell thier story, and you struggle to visualise it for yourself... and put a picture in your head.

The only downside to this docco is it's duration. it says on the cover it's 60 min... but it's not... it's 45 min. Pretty cheeky considering the price you pay for it. So yeah... I think what you... More Info about this DVD

    Unsolved Mysteries:UFO's DVD

This set is for anyone, who like myself, would watch this show at night as a child and would find themselves unable to sleep that night.

This set contains the best UFO segments featured on the show. I remember most of them and there really isn't one that I haven't seen on this set. The reenactments are wonderfully vivid, sometimes just hinting at what was seen which left the viewer to create that in his mind. Robert Stack's scenes with him dressed for a chilly evening, speaking to you from an obscure location as if this was a private meeting between you and him added so much to the segments. That and the detached glee the producers used in terrifying the audience. Very recommended. More Info about this DVD

Secret NASA Transmissions - Smoking Gun DVD

This has to be the absolute rock-bottom lame 'UFO' video. The author has recorded a bunch of publicly-available footage from NASA Select, NASA's satellite channel (there's nothing 'secret' about any of it, for starters) and then every little glint of sunlight off a metal surface or ice crystal that floats by, this nut case presents as some kind of 'evidence' of extraterrestrial intelligence and a NASA coverup. Well I used to work at NASA and indeed there are things they cover up, but none of the crapola on this DVD is worth your time or money. It includes some long interview sequences with a Canadian back-country hick that I presume is the author of this awful DVD, but he is so dumb that he doesn't even get the name of his own country's astronaut right (he says she's 'Elizabeth Bondar',...
